Here's a pic of my CRD about to pull my CJ-2a. This was the second time I towed my willys with the KJ, it does so well it's amazing, plenty of braking power and torque to go anywhere. Anyone else pull 5000+ pounds?

Nice

I have pulled a 4-5 horse, trailer. It only had one horse and a bunch of our stuff in it though. The horse was a Percheron. I would say we were pushing 5K on that load.

have you got anymore pics of that willys?

The car weighs in at 1100 kg and the trailer should be about 800kgs.

I have pulled close to 5k a few times. I disagree with your braking comment though. No way I'd pull another vehicle like that without trailer brakes. Throw in trailer brakes and I'm with you....and 19mpg!

You might want to move that a bit back on the trailer too. That should improve your towing experience even more so!

Who, me? No actually it makes it worse when the car is farther back. All the weight of the car is over the front wheels. Like 75%, 620kg. The car is as far forward on the trailer as I can get it. The trailor I use has all wheels braking. If I had the 13 pin conector it would have electric brakes as well from what I am told. Now I just have to use the kenetic brakes and trust me they work just fine. I tried it with out and with the car on a sudden stop the first time I towed, I even got a little lock-up, the KJ stayed level the whole time.
