Hi everyone, this is taken from the interest that was generated in the "Inpromptu Trailride" thread.

My girlfriend and I are going to be heading up to the trail on Friday afternoon. We're going to drive up to our campsite and campout friday night. Saturday morning, we're going to head back down into plymouth for the people that just want to make a daytrip of it and/or can't go anywhere on a weekday.

Friday, we're planning on being at the trailhead around 12 Noon, meaning that we can meet anyone thats interested at the Walmart in Plymouth, NH (directions to follow) around 11:30am, and you can follow me to the trailhead from there. I'll be in a Light Greystone Wrangler Rubicon, and I'll park somewhere near the back of the lot. The Walmart would also be a good place to pick up any last minute provisions you may need; food, water, filter cartridges, propane, ammunition , ect. It's a supercenter, so they have pretty much everything, but I digress..

For those that are interested in going up for a day trip on Saturday:
I'll leave camp around 10am...ish... and head back down to the Walmart in Plymouth, NH, and again, I'll park near the back and I'll be in the Greystone Rubi. From there we'll all caravan up to the trail and drive up to the pond.

To get to the Walmart in Plymouth, NH. NH, NOT Mass!
Points South:
I-93 North until Exit 26 and follow that road (Tenney Mtn. Hwy.) about 2 miles (I think...) until you see the Walmart Sign. The entrance of Walmart has its own traffic light, and you'll hang a left at that light to get up into the lot.

Points North:
Same thing, except you'll be on I-93 South. If you're north of plymouth, then chances are you know where it is. If you don't post in this thread and I'll give you more detailed directions. And a swift kick in the booty .

I forgot to mention, well tempered dogs are more than welcome. We're going to be bringing ours with us, he just loves the jeeping!

That's too bad. At least I'll get to meet you on sunday. But hey, I gotta run, I just got the call from the dealer that I can go pick up my rubi!!!!!

Well, today was a total bust...

Packed up the jeep and got out a little late, made it to the walmart around 12:50, and 06LibertySSE wasn't there. Called a few times, then left and headed up to the trail, which was covered in snow and wet ice . We headed in about a mile or so, then turned around because it was too slick for me to feel comfortable . I took a few pictures of what we did do, nothing much (we turned around before the good stuff), but some pictures nonetheless. Maybe next time it won't be such a dissapointment. See you all on sunday!
