Hey,
Just picked up my first KJ... 2002 Steel Blue Liberty Sport (4x2 unfortunately). Anywho... Its bone stock. Windows are clear as day and its driving me nuts, so tint is definately happening.

The big question... should i paint the wheels black or leave em silver?
The budget does not permit for aftermarket wheels or stock takeoffs unless you want to cut me a stellar deal.
Sorry for the quick photoshop.

I'd leave them silver for now....save up what you can and then look for a steal of a deal on rims here soon...there are always some rims coming up for good deals here...just keep your eyes on the for sale section...

Welcome to the board and the KJ world too...where abouts you located?

is it a 4cyl?

I'd recommend driving it, forget modifying it in anyway. Save for a 4wd one if thats what you want.

I rarely see 2wd liberties, i'd also recommend a different set of tires.

Clemson, SC till i graduate in may and god only knows where i will end up... somewhere in the SE.

Its the 3.7L... i want 4x4, but i dont come remotely close to needing it... probably ride it out with the 2wd.

Welcome to LOST...enjoy the new KJ. I agree with 2006KJSPORT4X4...keep an eye out for a steal on some wheels. Another cheap alternative when its time to get new tires is a set of steel black cragers. I think they run around or under $50 depending on where you find them...

You got some good eyes.... I really like the liberty. Gettin the LBJ's serviced when the parts come in, then im fixing the power window regulator in the rear, and then its tint. The dealer is a jeep enthusiast and she is keepin an eye out for some factory takeoffs for me.
Here is some pics of the race car...

I stand corrected then...

I remember when I was looking for liberties on autotrader.com I saw a few 2.4L but at the time I thought they were the CRDs...but when I looked it said gasoline in the specs...I always thought it was a typo. :? Does anyone on these boards have one? I'm guessing they were discontinued early on...

supposedly 05 was the last year for the 4 cyl, which in theory means there maybe a 4cy 6spd 4x4 liberty out there. Personally i've never seen an 05 4 banger, all of them i seem to run across are 03 & 04's I think they even come with a D35 in the rear too
