I was checking out other Jeep sites, and found this. On the front page of a Commander site, they say theres news of a new 3 Valve/cylinder 4.7 V8. http://www.xkjeeps.com/ Who has heard aabout this, and is there any word on this possibly leading to an improved 3.7l for the next Liberty?

From what it sounds like, the 3.7 imay or may not be phased out by the 3.8, or the 4.0 liter for KK liberty. Not sure about a newer v-8, but this might interest you.

This link shows the new kk, with some information on whats available, and whats not for the next gen libby

List of newer v-6's that DC will be introducing by the end of the decade.

I've heard rumors that the "magnum" line of engines will be dropped and replaced with a "new and improved" version. A 3V setup would be similar to the Ford Mustang 4.6L 3V V8 (300hp/320tq)
