I picked up a set of the New OME Nitrocharger shocks from All J's yesterday and installed them and WOW! what a difference over the Ranchos I had in there. (They are P/N N132L)

Worthless w/out pics so here:
Image

The OMEs soak up the bumps way better than the Ranchos ever did and the overall road feel is quite a bit better. They got rid of the choppiness I was experiencing before on road bumps and washboards felt better too. I am so impressed that I know I have to change my fronts over to OMEs soon too. I strongly suggest trying them out if you question the ride from the Ranchos. Call Quinn or Heather at the shop for more info or pricing. I had gotten in on the January deal and only now went to pick them up so I am not sure what their current pricing is.

phone number at All J's

Now, if only they had a longer front shock too to eliminate the 'topping out' thing.

I think have already made a deal with OME to fab some better Front Struts...you might want to ask them when they will be available?

Hey there,
Sorry to the person who said he emailed and received no response - that's unusual since I review each email that comes in -- maybe it was LOST in transmission???

I'm going to make an executive decision here: I'm going to offer the OMENS132L shocks to the L.O.S.T members at a discount!

If you call me (or email me) and mention this post, I will honor the January price! So....roll back the price (opps hope Wal-Mart doesn't sue me!).... the L.O.S.T member price will be $74.95 each long travel shock -- to L.O.S.T members only - and you must mention this post. :)

This offer is good two ways -
1) You can save $20 off the OME Long Travel Shock Upgrade for any of the Frankenlifts and
2) You will get the discounted price when you buy the OMENS132L shocks when you buy them separately.

Please mention the LOST Forum when ordering with POST 18432 as your "coupon code." This discount will be available until the end of March.

Cheers!! Heather

Are these OMEs different from the ones on rusty's website. He does'nt specify the part number, so i'm not sure if they are the same (perhaps not the long travel version). He is selling them for $40 each.

Would these be considered Heavy Duty shocks?

Correct me if I am wrong.........shocks handle the bounce and travel while the springs handle the load/weight of the vehicle?

Adding the RL rear bumper soon and want to be sure these shocks don't have more sag from the weight of that new bumper.

Essentially you are right. Shocks function independently of the weight of the vehicle. Your springs might sag, but that's a different issue.

I wonder if these have a "longer travel" than the Skyjackers that I currently have? I have over 30K on the my current set-up, so the ride should be improved regardless?

My butt-o-meter says they ride better than the low mileage Ranchos I had on there before and from what I have heard the DT's are a stiff shock to begin w/ so I bet they would ride nicer. Since the only DT experience I have is on my XJ, I am not sure how they would compare.

On the length, I was told they are the same length as Ranchos 17004. I should have checked the extended length vs. the OMEs while I was changing but I was in a hurry to get done.

As for flex pics, I will try to find a Honda to flex on next time at the mall.
