Can a milemarker winch go on an ARB bumber?

I like the bumper... but if I'm getting a winch I want a hydraulic one... I'm out of luck?

Jeff

I'm not totally sure but I think the hydrualic winch will not work with our PS pump,as for fitting in the ARB the smaller one might. My Warn 9500XP is packed in my ARB pretty good.I have installed many MileMarker hyd winches on military humvee's and it required some modifing of the stock pump.

I remember about a year ago - Seth said they wouldn't fit - the hydraulic is just too big.

I have the Milelmarker 8000 in electric and it works fine. Maybe just lower your standards to an electric winch.

I know the hydraulic winches will work in a TJ and most other vehicles... as long as we have a pump that can turn the tires I don't see why it won't work on a Liberty... but the mounting is an issue... I guess there would be some cutting and welding to do on the ARB to fit one...

There nothing wrong with electric winches.... but it's just nice to have the option to winch all day if you need to... Even if you had to upgrade the PS pump... to use and electric even half as much you'd need to upgrade your alternator no?

The milemarker site says it works on Jeeps (in general) but needs a line adapter which they carry.

The ARB site says it (the bumper) will fit a Warn XD9000 electric...

The 9000 pound Milemarker looks around the same size and even smaller in some ways...

I wonder if it's the controls that become an issue...

I know thw Warn winch in your pic does not fit in the ARB,that was the winch I was going to get but it won't fit since the winch mounts differently(bassically you lay it down 90 degrees to how the normally mount) in the KJ ARB.The M8000 and 9500Xp I think are the only 2 that is made be Warn that fits inot the ARB(for the KJ).The XD and TI winch's are to "tall" for the ARB.

( Rusty's 2.5 inch lift kit in box ) :?:

I hate to be the one to burst your bubble but, the Rusty's front coils are a 310 lb. rate, and won't support the weight of the bumper and winch. You need to rethink what you're trying to do.

Has anyone looked at the T-max
http://www.t-maxwinches.com/winches.htm#standard
Summit has the 9K for 450 and the 10K for 510 and both look like they should fit in an ARB (label is Summit - PDF is Tmax)

Just my $.02....My experience with the MM hydro is that it is PAINFULLY SLOW!!
Check out the line speeds, and remember, the MM is just as slow unloaded as it is loaded!

i kind of second that. just know that the arb will weigh down the fron of the kj with no winch, so be sure and get some extra spacers or stiffer springs, especially if your adding a winch as well.

i put the arb on my 05 without a winch and it sagged a 1/4 and since i put it on. i have the .75" poly spacers im putting on this weekend to compensate. if it continues to sag, i guess it'll be a front franky only...
