Where can I get a set of those? I got a 2005 CRD with a 1.5"-2.0" daystar lift and would like to get new struts in the front that already have the spacers in them.

All J can do it with Ranchos or the OME struts I'm sure. Call Heather.

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to make sure the info was clear for everyone...

Actually it's $510 for the pre-assembled front struts using Rancho struts for the GAS Front Only Frankenlift. The front CRD Frankenlift w/pre-assembed fronts struts has not actually been priced out as a KIT yet. It is expected to be in the same price range as the GAS kit, but this has not been confirmed.

The front CRD Frankenlift w/pre-assembed fronts struts comes with the following parts - the individual prices for these parts is noted for your convenience:

2 OME790 CRD-rated Old Man Emu springs (these are the new springs available by the end of this month). (MSRP $155 pair)
2 Rancho RS17505 struts (MSRP $85 each) - OMEN131 Struts are also available for $125 each)
All J Products Proprietary Poly Parts (MSRP ...not for individual sale)
All Hardware needed:
New Top plates - left and right side (MSRP $25 each)
Stem Cushions, Washers, misc. hardware ($25 approx.)
Plus there is Labor for Pre-assembling both front struts.

Based on this info - the CRD Front Only Frankenlift with Pre-Assembled Struts may be slightly more than the GAS counterpart.

For everyone who has emailed and called with much interest in this product for the CRD, All J Products will have the ACTUAL kit pricing completed next week.

THANKS for your interest -- we're going to have the kits in stock late next week and they should be able to ship soon after that (after the first set is field tested)!! :D

Heather,
have the 500 lb. rate CRD springs been tested on a heavy gaser yet, with an ARB bumper/winch, and full armor :?:

No ,they have not been tested on a Gas KJ with the additions you mentioned..... They were actually designed specifically for the CRD.

It was me that called you earlier today Heather. Sorry didnt wanna throw out wrong prices there.

One question though. If I add up all the parts I get to $400, excluding the spacers. So that means If I add labour, shipping and the two spacers I should get to $500. Why is it more than that?

Yes, I understand it's designed for the CRD but, a few months ago you stated in the CRD Section that, "they would also be tested on a heavy gaser".
Is that still in the works :?:

I checked with Quinn and he said that he would sell them to the folks with the gas kjs, but since they were designed for the CRD, they would carry no warranty until we tested them. He said that they should work fine, but we haven't tested them for that application and can't confirm that they would be perfect for the gas kj with heavy mods on them. :)

We just won't have the time with the Moab event coming up to test them on the gas vehicle as well as the CRD -- but they will eventually be tested on a heavy gasser too.....

Hi there...
Not to say that you were thowing out wrong prices...because the price hasn't been confirmed yet, it's just that we expect it to be around the same as the Gas Front Only Frankenlift -- around $510. I must not have been totally clear talking to you today, so I wanted that to be clear on this post because I'd get a bunch of calls tomorrow and I just wanted the info on the post to help mitigate those calls.. :) Hopefully I didn't offend you, that was not the intention.

If you add up the parts that have the prices on this post (the new OME springs, the Rancho struts, the top plates, the hardware) just those parts come to $400 MSRP - but there are other parts included that are proprietary parts that I did not give pricing for because we don't sell them outside of the Frankenlift. Plus there is some labor cost included in the total for my techs time to compress and assemble the front struts - that was not detailed in the post either. Add up those other things and that is how All J Products comes up with the $510 for the Front Only Frankenlift.

Thanks again for the interest in this product! We hope we can make more happy CRD owners out there as soon as this new kit is availalbe!

My Stock strut + 1.5" daystar spacer does NOT equal the CRD front Frankenlift though right? If I would get the CRD front Frankenlift my Jeep wouldnt sit as level as it does now. Or are y'all able to put something together that achieves exactly the same lift?

Thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
The front stock strut with a 1.5" daystar spacer is a 1.5" lift. The CRD Frankenlift kit is a 2.5" lift. So, no the height will be different. If you removed the spacer from your front struts and removed your stock springs and replaced them with the OME790 coil, then you would have the same height of 1.5" of lift.

The OME790 coil spring for the CRD provides a 1.5" lift all by itself -- more parts are needed to make up the full 2.5" lift that the CRD Frankenlift kit provides.

I think this is what you were asking, right?

Right.

Basically I've got the 1.5-2.0" daystar lift and would like to get new struts (completely pre-assembled) in the front, AND keep the exact same amount of lift that I am having now. What would be the most in expensive solution? The OME790 springs + rancho struts?

Yes, the most inexpensive solution for you would be to go with the OME790 springs (155 pair) and the Rancho 17505 struts (85 each). This is a true coil spring lift and the combo will give you 1.5" to 2" of lift and you could get rid of your spacers.

If you want us to send you the springs and struts pre-assembled, then we would need to add the cost for the needed hardware - we currently have only a few stock strut plates in stock. Since this is not a product that we sell, it would be something we would do custom for you. Just call us and we'll help you get what you want. 8)

Thanks for the information Heather. I think I am going to go a different route though, did you get my email? I wanna get just the OME struts, with new nuts of course :D , and then re-use all the parts from my current strut. I found a shop I can bring my struts to and then they would put all my old parts on the new OME struts.

Daniel
