So finally got a chance to tackle this project after looking at the lift kit and tires sitting in my living room for three months! Check it out....

Looks nice. JMHO for what it matters, I would have never herculined your fenders and rockers. That's like hacking 3,000 off of your resale value.

Yeah, but it saves on rock chips and trail pinstripping! Did mine when my KJ had only 124 miles on it.Good looking pics jdumont! Just a suggestion,it would look alot better(in my opinion) to line the front and rear bumber(I have a lined rear bumber for sale  ) also, but it looks good either way.Time for some black rims, that would look killer!

Yea I was a little hesitant at first about doing the bumpers but I think I will go for it soon. I wanted to let it soak in fully to see what I liked. As for the resale value I really dont care much about that. I figure ill be keeping it for at least another few years and when im ready to trade it in it will be 8 years old and wont matter that much at that point anyhow. Thanks guys!

Yup, did the gas door too. It offsets the bottom nicely I think... gotten some good comments on it so far from other male KJ owners. Thanks...

I'm gonna have to do this to my fender flare and front grille pretty soon. I'm getting tired of the chrome.

Oh and my rear bumper is coming along. Just primed it yesterday. Now I have to finish painting it then I'll be good to go.

For what it's worth I never would have "pimped out" a Jeep. A Honda Civic maybe, but not a Jeep!

Nope, not taken the wrong way at all. To each his own is something I feel very strongly about. Do what makes you happy, not others right.

I would not pimp my jeep either, but I must say, the black wheels look bad-a** on the black jeep, especially with the pollished lip. On my last vehicle, I put 15x7 Rota Slipstreams on it, they were 15x7, gun metal with polished lip. they looked awesome. Those were not only pretty, but also functional on the car since they were extremely light, small, and wide. On the Jeeps, I love the look of big mud tires and black Cragar Soft-8 wheels. I may eventually get a set of black Cragars for play with some Superswamper TSL's, and keep running the more conservative Maxxis Buckshot Mudders on the factory wheels for daily driving.

I like the rhinoliner(?) sides. Looks pretty sweet if you ask me, esp with white. What exactly are you guys using for this?

Couple of pics of my old car:

 at Pimped Out, this isn't MTV with chrome rims and televisions. You just made yourself sound sooooo dated and clueless. I stated a fact, that it will drop the resale, not my useless opinion which you have :). I like Dumonts ride, it's as different as mine! I didn't say "I wouldn't "redneck" a Jeep, maybe a Ford!"

I don't think he was really trying to offend. He was just stating an opinion, just as you had.

GregScuba, personally I used Herculiner that you can get from AutoZone. I used almost 2 qt of it. Costs about $30 each can plus whatever you get for a brush and masking supplies. You must use gloves for this if you do it. That stuff is nasty if you get it on you! I did it barefoot and had it on and under my feet for a good two weeks before it wore off! HAHAHA
