No. We did a little clean-up immediately after the mud bath (mostly draining water from air intakes), but the fans held up fine.

It was a very good time. Glad you enjoyed it.

I like the "virtual wheeling" perspective. Looks better with the camera mounted on the roof (no winshield glare, etc.), but it was windy and dusty that day, and I didn't want to pay $300 to have my $500 camera taken apart and cleaned. You can protect your camcorder by wrapping it in a ZipLock freezer bag; you just need to cut a hole for the lens and then screw your UV filter over the lens. Use rubber bands to hold everything in place.

cleaning water from the intakes? did any get sucked into the motor? that can do some serious damage

No serious damage was reported, but our air filters were all various shades of brown. Mine was the cleanest.
