You know, I can't drive around Raleigh without seeing another Liberty every 15 minutes. I know there a lot of Liberty owners in the Carolinas, but the Carolina LOST discussion board does not reflect this.
Here's just a few things to do in the Carolinas:
Outer Banks - ride your Liberty in the sand
Uwharrie National Forrest - take your Liberty off road in the middle of the state. Camping, hiking, and water activities in the same area. Visit the N.C. Zoo.
Telico - Probably the toughest trails on the East Coast.
Brown Mountain - More off roading (and creepy floating balls of light)
Blue Ridge Parkway - not tough for a Liberty, but one of the most scenic roads on the East Coast
We are also just over the mountain from Oliver Springs, TN, which apparently has one of the largest off-road parks on the East Coast.
We are about 6 hours form George Washington National Forrest in Virginia.
I am sure there are probably other places to off-road that I don't know about. Heck! The Carolina's are also just a great place to get together and have a BBQ.
Membership for now is free. The only real cost is the web site (
http://www.carolina-lost.com/ ), but I host that with my personal site.
You don't have to be a crazy trail nut like me to be in the group, just interested in getting together with other Liberty owners.
So, scroll on down to the local club list and say "hi".
Sorry for putting this iin the general discussion area.
