I finally got my skink sliders installed today. The quality on these is outstanding. I recommend these with no hesitation.

Saw you yesterday going up Tower Road as I looked out my 3rd floor loft window. If it wasn't you, then there is another silver rugged looking frankie lifted KJ out there that we don't know about. I think it was about 5:30pm.

Looks good. NOW GET OUT THERE AND HIT THE TRAILS WITH US!

HAHAHAHA!!!!!

You do not lose any ground clearance with the Skink sliders,if you get down eye level with them they are flush with the bottom of the unibody "frame" rails. My tranny skid sits lower than my sliders do.

i didnt think it lost ground clearance on level ground, i meant on the side, where it is, looks silly to me, should be up where the other bump is, you would have more clearance from rocks on the side before you had to slide on them if they put them where they should have, they could be another couple inches higher

The would equate to a moveable metal piece against the paint, do you think that would be a good idea? Talk about scratches and possibly messing up your rocker and door panels. Stop being such a negative nelly :).

When they did the redesign of the KJ for '05-'07's that piece of black plastic just covers the metal rocker panel that is not covered in the older years. If you cut that off you'd be cutting the rocker panels and pinch seems off(where the Skinks attach to).Trust me you don't loose any clearence with the Skink sliders, they are worth there wieght in gold if you play on the rocks.

I don't think you understand what's under the "bump"...actually just a plastic cover that goes over the rocker panel. If Rock Lizard or Boulder Bars were to sit up there then you'd have to cut off the very part of your vehicle that you are trying to protect.

You also want the rock rails to be parallel with the driveline. That way if you go over a rock it will come down on the rock rail. Although, if you do slip it might hit the door.

What you meant and what you said are two different things.

What you say/type gives room for joking around, buddy.
