ARBseth I can not agree more with every word you said it is what I have been preaching for as long as I have been on the board

I know that I have seen more FJ's at public parks than I have seen KJ's and as I said and will keep saying this is why the get the support
PEOPLE WHEEL THEM

I have for the past 2 Expos tryed to get folks from this board to show because it is sponsored by super lift and it would show them that the KJ is for real but last year we had 2 my wife and nolakj
from the looks this year we will have 1 freedomkj ,the wife is 8 month pregnant, but I have talked to a few FJ owners and they are in ,or so they say, I have also posted up on a few other boards about the Expo and have goten some responses from folks who were interested but did not want to be "out casted" by all the jeeps ,this will not happen trust me

People wheel them because they have support right out of the gate. If all this stuff was available for KJs in 2002, it would not have been such an uphill battle. I always liked showing up with a KJ and getting "the look". It was really funny when people who knew me would tell a group that the Kj was the trail leader for the day! Some thought that was so that if I could make it everyone could...lol...didn't work out that way! I used to wheel with a guy in a KIA...body lift, 33's ect. He used to surprise them too.

Like I said, I think now that our KJ body style is history more people will go a bit more hardcore with them. For the most part, most will stay at 2-2.5" on 31's and that is ok too. So far every SAS has been an individual effort which alwasy costs more and takes more time to finish up.

These are honest questions that I dont know the answer to.

When did toyota first make a 4X4 with IFS?
How long after that was it when lift kits became available?

Maybe its just a matter of time. How long were CJ's on the market before more than a couple of lifts were available for them?

Sure it would be helpful if Jeep would make a platform that was more mod friendly, and it would help if they dont completely change the suspension every few years. There is going to be some changes within chrysler, maybe jeep will get straightened out a little.

So, now that Jeep has a new owner, will there be new Jeep dealerships? Will those Chrysler/Dodge dealers stop selling Jeeps?

Probably not. But there will probably be Jeep only dealers here in Colorado. As I have said in the past, Jeeps are a dime a dozen here. They sell a ton of them here. You can not drive a single mile without seeing one. A Jeep only dealer could survive alone here.

Perhaps that along with the new Jeep owner will bring great changes to Jeep vehicle....or totally ruin Jeep. A Jeep to compete with Accords and Camry's? A Jeep sports car?

So, will the 2008 Liberty stay as is? I am sure it will since there is no time to R&D new changes. We will have to wait for the 2009 line to see if new Liberty get a better off-road platform.

I still wonder why JEEP DEALERS were not screaming for the new Liberty KKs in 2007. They saw the Dodge Nitros at the "other" dealerships and they did not have the platform to sell.
