Yeah I will hit the trails with ya. May not be in my Liberty, but I'll get out there in the Cherokee for sure.

Well my XJ is my primary wheeler now that I bought the KJ. The KJ is probably going to be the tow rig.

Well with the CRD it ought to do a fine job with towing. Are you planning to build up the XJ?

Yeah I plan on building the XJ quite a bit. The KJ has a 100k warranty that I really dont want to void at this moment. I really want to lift it though ... really bad!!!!!

It might be in your best interest to wait just a bit on lifting the CRD anyway. Companies need time to make stiffer coils for the added weight of the engine. The current coil lifts seem to sag a bit. You could always due a puck lift in the mean time though.

Just FYI - The service manager at Lithia in Centennial said anything 3" and under is warranty safe. And I know that John Elway actually sells them off the lot with lifts installed. The only thing you'd be voiding would be the warranty as it relates to the suspension in particular. For instance, they can't void your engine, radio, etc because of a lift.

I was wondering about that ... but when I bought it I made the comment that I was going to lift it and they told me I would void my warranty. What your saying makes more sense though ...

Nah, there's actually a law that states your rights as a consumer when it comes to modifications (hopefully someone can chime in with the name). If something goes wrong they have to be able to prove that your modification caused the problem.

And warranty work is decided on a case by case basis...they can't just say your whole warranty is voided for all time and never look at your Jeep again. It even varies quite a bit between dealers. Some would replace a blown CV without question and another may give you a hard time about the lift. There's no set policy and not much communication, if any, between dealers.

Obviously your warranty would be voided when it comes to the suspension, but nothing else. Electical, emissions, engine, interior - that has nothing to do with your lift and they still honor those areas.
