Well here are some poser pics of my ride finally. I am running a 3.5 inch RockKrawler lift with 285/60/18

There you go as you can see I have a heck of a time stuffing those monster tires in the fenderwells. I am putting a one inch spacer lift on the back to help with clearance and if that does not fix my rub good enough I will be doing some bump stop work. Let me know what you think. THANKS

Are you going to get a new drive shaft too? If you really do have a full 3.5 inches in the back-- isn't another inch going to cause driveline vibrations? What are your CV angles like in the front?

Is it just me or does it look like it doesn't flex much more then when it was stock? Looks good for the style you went for! So how is that lift treating you so far?

nice shots, but if you had different rims (maybe black ones) they would look killer. Just too flashy for my taste, otherwise fine shots.
I have stock "clad" rims, and sometimes I think even they are too shiny..

If I remember correctly, the Rock Krawler kit comes with adjustable lower control arms for the rear. As always it's a compromise. So, it looks like it may extend more and clears the front of the tire well, but stuffage seems to suffer. With the control arm slightly extended, it's probably rubbing like hell in the back portion of the wheel well.

yOU ARE CORRECT IT DOES HAVE ADJUSTABLES CONTROL ARMS AND I AM HAVING TROUBLE CLEARING THE BACK OF THE FENDER WELL. IF I SHORTEN BOTH SIDES WILL THAT THROW MY ALLIGMENT OFF? OR IS THAT IRRELEVANT WITH THE REAR END. WHAT HAPPENS IS WHEN I STUFF IT NOW THE TIRE RUBS THE REAR MUD FLAP HARD. ALSO TO ANSWER SOMEONER ELSES ? I LIKE THE ROCKKRAWLER LIFT. WE PUT IT ON AT MY BUDDIES SHOP TOOK ABOUT 7 HOURS AND 4 STITCHES IN MY BUDDIES HEAD HAHA. IT HAS PERFORMED WELL THUS FAR. I WILL BE TAKEN IT ON THE TRAILS REAL SOON AND THEN WE WILL SEE WHAT IT HAS GOT.

What I would do is some fine tunning. Basically this would involve loosening the adjustment portion of the control so that it's hand tight. Then, do exactly what you're doing in the poser shots. So, try and get as much flex as possible, you'll then see how much forward you can move the axel. Or just shorten it just so it rubs, and then back off slightly. You will need some clearnance between the front of the wheel and the fender just so that when everything settles. AND DON"T FORGET TO TIGHTEN EVERYTHING BACK UP!

As for alignment, if you measure both sides to be the same length, you know your front is correct then you should be fine. That it unless it starts tracking to one side or the other. If you havn't had an alignment done, I would suggest you do it. You tires will thank you. Since they are big and slighly lower profile, you will notice that unless properly aligned it will track wherever there are some road imperfections.

Hope this helps.

So you want to trade your rims for Moabs, thought I saw on another forum that you were trying to? I think you have reached the tire size that is too big for the Liberty unless you have SFA, something just doesnt look right plus since you cant stuff them then its useless off road, just my 2 cents

To bling for my tastes, some black cragars would look killer.

No offense, just bling on a jeep is like having a deer hunter that polishes his boots.

Looks good though. I'm worried about your CV angles though, I think you are going to have some problems. good luck though

Yep,my thoughts to.Those 285/60R18's are basically a 32x11 tire, way to big for a non-SFA KJ,fine for the street but useless offroad.265/75R16's(31x10) or 235/85R16's(32x9) are about the biggest tires you want to go and still be offroad worthy.

I added a set of rear spacers to eliminate any rubbing in the fender under flex with 265s.

If you hit any half decent trails you'll lose those side steps too. Good luck with that lift and tire combo.

You are very observant I have requested that I would swap the tires and rims for a set of MOABS and MTR'S. i WOULD BE TAKING A HIT IN THE MONEY BUT WOULD NOT MIND. I posted that request on the RUBICON forum because i figured you could easliy fit that much rubber under a lifted rubi. But good lookin out. As far as the c/v angles go they are not as bad as i thought they would be. I will post pics when i get a chance. And as far polishing my hunting boos the only polishing I do is on my BOWTECH BOW and the broadheads that blow thru the DEER.

Take them off and sell them instead of busting them up. I am sure there are people out there that want them and the money from them can reduce the sliders/bars/rails cost.

I'm suprised that you can even turn the front wheel's with that size tyre, + no front bar to gain room. I don't have a front bar & have trimmed a lot to run 265/70/16 & can't see how you could run a 285. A full lock pic would be good.

I will send pics of the tires at full lock and those are poser shots, But this libby is the real deal and is not afraid of mud. I do not think that my libby has to look like a nerd mobile to be accepted. The bottom line is that it is my liberty and i get to drive it. I am in the process of buying moabs and mt/rs for the winter so dont cry to hard about the posing you hard core fanatics. jeeez
