Hey. Name's Nick. I live in Fort Collins, CO with my wife and 4 dogs. I'm a geek by day and any number of things by night.

Experience: I'm pretty new to off-roading, having only done a real trail a few times. I've been training with the local search and rescue dog group on the weekends and am planning on joining Larimer County Search and Rescue later this year. I figure learning how to handle my vehicle better off-road might come in handy. Plus, it's an excuse to start a new activity I've always wanted to get into. I figured joining up with you folks and reading the posts would get me on the right track.

I don't have much DIY experience, but am eagerly awaiting the right project. The Liberty is pretty much stock, but I'll be putting some new tires on later this month and possibly adding some skid plates as well. I've bottomed on some rocks when driving up for a search training and I'd rather not mess anything up before I even get started.

Vehicle(s): I bought a lightly used '03 Liberty (Freedom Edition) about 4 months ago. I love it. I also have a '94 Cherokee Sport that needs some TLC. I haven't decided if I should invest some time/$ into the cherokee or chuck it. So far, I haven't been able to bring myself to get rid of it.

That's about it. Looking forward to meeting some new people and learning some new things...

Nick

Welcome!

Skids are always a good first investment. If you're not too busy this weekend you should come out with us.

when/where are you guys headed this weekend? I'm out Saturday morning, but afternoon or Sunday would be cool.
