I think the difference is that the 8220 numbers are proper retail packaged parts (with instructions and all the necessary hardware) whilst the 5212 parts are 'factory replacement' or somesuch, so they come without all the nice bits. And are cheaper!

I've just had a transfer case skid fitted to my KJ here in Aus; AU$115.00 for the parts plus AU$65 fitting! (that's nearly US$140 total!) - the transmission skid I ordered from the US for like 30 bucks and fitted myself in about 15 minutes. Shipping was nearly $100 though, it was a bit heavy!
Would someone like to adopt me so I can come and live in the US where Jeep parts are cheap?
