So you guys don't have any late model front wheel drive GM cars running around? Because 35mm is the same size for there CV axle nuts to.When I bought mine at Napa it was labeled for a late model GM front wheel drive cars.Try a GM dealership, the tech's should be able to tell you where to get one locally.

Sorry about that: I live closer to IL, so shipping is a whole lot less.

Ok. How about this one, then?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/35mm-Extra-Long-Axle-Nut-Socket-for-Late-Model-GM-cars_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33728QQihZ017QQitemZ270124449237QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V#ShippingPayment

Shipping to Canada is only $9.36. Also, look under '35mm socket', in Ebay. If you put a space between 35 and mm, you won't find anything. (I tried)

Grab these two tools from Sears:

http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?cat=Mechanics+Tools&pid=00947779000&vertical=TOOL&subcat=Sockets&BV_UseBVCookie=Yes
http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?cat=Mechanics+Tools&pid=00904271000&vertical=TOOL&subcat=Socket+Accessories&BV_UseBVCookie=Yes

I needed to halfway insert the adapter into the socket because the half shaft extended too far beyond the nut. I wouldn't really want to halfway insert an impact driver into a socket. Other than speed, there really isn't any reason to use an impact driver on the hub nuts. On the other hand, you've got the perfect tool if you manage to find a 35mm, 1/2" drive, deep well, impact socket :D

those sears tools are not strong enough for Impact use.

Also do not get 12 point sockets and wrenches for anything serious. A greese monkey friend of mine said ONLY BUY ^ POINT. more steel and stronger on the points. and for this type of stuff only buy IMACT rated sockets. it's a witch when they shatter!

N/A,
Just did a quick Google search of the quality tool manufacturers and their Nova Scotia locations. They carry SK Tools, a good brand. Took about 6 minutes. Let your fingers do the walking. LOL.

I wonder why it's hard to find 35mm sockets?

Maybe because it's exactly the same size as a 1 3/8" socket but the workers the parts stores don't really know about inch to metric conversions?

If you have local store, drop in and see if they have it in their one off isles. I'll be heading there in the next few days, so we'll see if I can find you one. What about good old Canadian Tire?

I've been running a standard 12-point 32 mm socket with my impact wrench for the last six months. I'll just replace the socket if it shatters. I always wear safety glasses while operating the bearing puller anyway.
