It's time for my 90,000 mile service. Actually, about 250 miles past due, but it's happening tomorrow.

That being said, I wanna know who's got 100,000 or more miles on their Liberty? 150k? 200k? I'd like to know, because I intend to keep this thing for a while:)

hey ThunderbirdJunkie I just turned 134,000 miles on my 02 limited. its 64 months old and very well maintained. My Kj runs great ,no major problems, ,at 119,000 I had to replace wheel bearings and that was it. I change drive line fluids every 25,000 oil every 3,000. Possible looking to get a 08 KK or maybe a GC, right now running great so I will keep it going hopefully to 175K or more. Good luck with yours.

Sweet, thanks for the replies guys.

Mine's still runnin strong with no issues to speak of (aside from a split rubber hose on a vacuum line), and I expect it to do so till 200k

I'm pretty rough on mine, so I figure I'll have to do suspension bushings and some other suspension related work before too long...I know the upper shock bushings on the rear are shot.

Any issues with yours so far, LIKJ?

TB junkie: so far so good had BJ recall installed Mooges at a private shop with zirk fitting and got paid back by DC. shocks still strong, I do not go of road too much except for the beach. i use my kj for work every day (outside sales), so i do rack up the mileage. good luck going to 200K.

I flushed the transmission, changed the front and rear diff fluids, the t-case fluid, oil change, and flushed the coolant. it was PRICEY, even at shop cost, but cheaper than replacing said components

I bought my '02 sport last year with 89,000 on it. First thing I did was the smae service your talking about , when changing the rear pumpkin found it needed rebuilding since it was under 30days from purchase WARRANTY, But deside that point DO consider Synthetic I had mine done with AMSOIL from bumper to bumper even with the high milage it was the best move I made with my Libby.  8) P.S. YES I am an Amsoil dealer but it's still worth it

there was just an 02 Limited at work a few days ago...it had a leaky front pinion seal, a leaky trans pan (Mathews Dodge, if you're ever stuck in Marion, OH, is a place to avoid-they did my balljoint recall, and replaced ONE. yeah.) and a bunch of other issues. the poor folks had just bought it with 103k miles on it. RTV on trans pans when there's a perfectly good rubber gasket that comes with the filter is just a real sore spot with me...

course it looked a whole lot better on the topside than my banged up 94,000 Sport

I've got 140K on my 2002 limited. The first, and (knock on wood) so far the only major mechanical thing to go wrong was a broken valve spring (somewhere around 105K, I think. But now I have all new valve assemblies). Other than that, the usual things that can happen when a car tops the century mark. First the A/C compressor failed. Then a month later the alternator and battery. Just recently I replaced the radiator (Plastic cracks? Go figure!).

On the one hand, I put the same number of miles on a Geo Prizm and only had to replace the alternator. On the other hand, it was a Geo Prizm. The Jeep isn't the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned, but it's far from the worst (Chevy Malibu), and it's hands-down my favorite. I love driving it.

when your radiator died, was it an endtank, or is the ATF cooler tank plastic too? did the ATF and coolant mix?

It was just a tiny crack in the tank. Strictly engine coolant. It was so small that I never even noticed any drips on the floor pan, which I check every day. I saw that the level in the overflow tank kept dropping after I'd top off the coolant, so I knew it was going somewhere.

Got 108,000 on my 03 Rennegade...broke my front driveline blasting through snow banks at 99,000 ,a/c compressor, went out at 103,000....guess I've been lucky so far but I know it can't stay trouble free for ever...oh and two O2 sensors so far.

115 and change on my '03... no major complaints, the usual brakes and tires... trail rash... only four more payments and I plan to run it til it won't go no more.

90,050 miles on mine and I beat the f**k out of it daily. Oil changes are rare. She's still going strong. I abuse the hell out of my KJ and it has never complained! This is a good platform, regardless of what anybody says.

*Edit* KJ's with an NV3550 are a good platform. Auto's can give rise to headaches.
