kj4me, do you lay cargo directly on the hood. I don't see any functionality in your design.

that is exactly what i am going to be doing when i get my sport rails... i didn't like my renegade rails because they are too beefy for stuff, and i know that the sport rails are much more sturdy! so keep us updated for sure!

well, i can tell you that home depot sells the angle irons, and they are the best because they have a great assortment of sizes! all together it was about 40-45 bucks and like i said, i like this better than the retail baskets because i can modify it easier to accomidate different things. versatility is always a plus!if you want i can shoot you a pm of all the sizes of everything, including the u-bolts

Just fitted my new Cragar Soft 8's (16 x 8, 5" back space) onto my 265/70/16 Cooper STT's. I've had to trim a poop load but so far so good, I can get to full stuff & still roll on. I'm considering a small bump stop for the rear, should have some good action shots in a few weeks as the LOST Dowunder lads are haveing our first meet in Coffs Harbour (East coast of Australia) this comming weekend.

WoW, a place to post or Liberty Sport pics. Here's some of mine;

This pic was taken on my Libby's first trail run. I followed an 89YJ running on 33's into the woods (I should have had my head examined).
Image
I never got stuck but the front skid plate sure got a beating. No, I didn't try to cross that mud hole in the background

Still totally stock but I'm shopping for a 2.5" spacer lift and bigger meats.
Image

But its still fun on the stock trails and sand pits.

Yes, I know the back is WAY high, but that is what happens when you put 2 extra isolators on it. :P

I am driving it around right now as my daily driver to get the 300 miles I want to put on it before I re-tighten up everything in preparation for the Jeep Jamboree in Tellico from 10/11 - 10/14. :D

I have been to telico and if you plan to take a KJ you MUST have a GOOD skid on your tranny.
the factory junk will not cut it out there ,the OE skids are fine as far as the fuel tank ,T case and the front but you need them also
you will also need sliders and GOOD tires the stockers will not make the first trail
I would recomend MT's because some trails can be wet and it is not all rocks
but the trails are GREAT

Cool. WildRussian, if you end up going let me know, we'll meet. :)

JT, yeah that is what I have heard about Tellico. I've got the Skid Row Front & Engine/Trans Skid Plates, the Rusty's Fuel Skid, and a Mopar T-case skid, Brand new AT tires, though I have not had time to put on any rock rails yet. Guess I'll be "sissy"-ing it a little and trying to be careful. :P
