OK, the other thread got long and I got lost...

Please only copy and paste the list adding your name so we have a good count for this trip. That way no one gets left behind.

So who is driving the trail:
Rock Lizard
USAFCOP (1 empty seat, and maybe 2 rear)

Who needs a ride (include # in your party)
DieselEnthusiast (2 seats needed)

Notice copy paste list Please
Also meet info:
Here's the trail damage page for a good little read and some pictures of this trail: http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=40

I am not familiar enough with the area to know if there are any camping spots near by. Not sure if you wanted to bring the trailer and stay where you did last time and meet at my place in the morning. We will take out of here about 0700 (which means 0730 for those that don't know my family), go highway 24 out the same direction we went for China Wall, all the way to Hartsell (gas is atleast $.20 more here), then north on hwy 9, through Fairplay, and then continue north on 9 until we pass Road 8, Road 6, and the first Road 4, turn left on second road 4. Denver guys could take 285 and meet us in Fairplay, and we can caravan from there, which would probably be easiest, and we could fill up with gas and what not in Fairplay. So, Springs area guys, if you are close to my place, meet at my place by 0700. Pete and Troy and whoever else not that close, meet at the McD's in Woodland park by 0800, plan to meet Denver guys in Fairplay around 0930, get to the trail by 1015-1030.

Bad news. I am out on this one. The gf had asked me a few weeks ago to attend a function and I had said yes, thinking one event was on Saturday and the other on Sunday. Well, both are on Saturday and since I agreed, I need to go with her.

Sorry. Not used to having a gf around and having other plans going on.

What, you are trying to keep this one? Won't the Jeep get jealous?

Darryl, I guess we're gonna drive up Saturday morning. We'll all meet the rest of the group at the trailhead at the North end of Montgomery Reservoir where we'll leave the Patriot about 10-10:30 AM. We'll have the CB on Channel 4, give a shout out when you get close.

Looks like Wheeler Lake is going to be pretty packed on Saturday, so expect things to go really slow. http://www.colorado4x4.org/vbb/showthread.php?t=102802

So, with Marty's (2?) we would have enough seats for the five of us ride-alongs (Darryl, Rhett, Sarah, Denise and I). Marty, can you confirm this tonight?! Denise and I will sit out if needed.

Just checked out that link. Looks like a rowdy crowd. Would it be worth changing the trail and going somewhere else? Don't want to get in any trouble with drunk idiots ya know.

MinesJeep is cool. Overall not a bad group. Spy will definitely be drinking...I try to avoid him.

Hey everyone, Sarah and I are looking forward to seeing everyone again and meet those who we haven’t met. I guess we’ll forgive Tokyojoe for his (second) absence. Anyway, just a quick side note. Ted will be bringing some L.O.S.T. Rockies stickers in both black and white. The black stickers are limited, but I believe there are several white stickers on hand. The stickers are $5.00 bones each.

While your on your way up 285 after you pass Bailey, start looking on your right hand side of the road. You will eventually see an Old Style Diner shaped Like a Giant Hot Dog on a Bun . Years ago it was located closer to Conifer, But they moved further up the road. You owe it to yourselves to stop by. Visit the past when roadside Diners were King of the Highway. It's been several years since I'ver been their but the nostrolgia value is way too cool. When I drove by on a Sunday about 2 weeks ago business was still going strong. Just for the giggles check it out. This is the stuff most of you guys parents grew up with. Bon Apitite

The Jeep needs some work...that dang bushing on the upper A arm is making a racket. Besides that we have a Rockies game to go to tomorrow and then I have to be downtown again by 6:00am on Sunday for the start of a 3 day conference.

I also got transferred (internally) at work so I've been busy learning my new job. Pretty much I just come home and crash at night. I've been checking in daily, but not posting a whole lot.

:!: :!: :!: CHANGE OF TRAILS :!: :!: :!:

We are doing Chinaman's Gulch instead of Wheeler Lake. There will be no change to the meeting location if you're coming from the Springs.

Here's the link for the trail: http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=1

We are doing this trail because Wheeler Lake is going to be a parking lot, this is my last trail run for 15 months and I have yet to run this trail, and it has already been discussed with Marty, Ted, and Troy.

Glad we changed the trails. I'm still down for the run. I assume Darryl will be riding down with me. We'll meet you guys around the corner of 285 and CR301. Give a shout out on channel 4 when you get near. We'll do the same. We'll be there between 10 and 10-30. About a 2.25 hour drive from Denver, we're gonna leave around 8, if not earlier.

Denise is going to sit this one out. She's trailed out from last weekend.
