Check out the link for the Northeastern Region (Luzern/Wyoming). I was at this last year. It is definately nothing hard to get through, unless it it rains like it has today. Very beautiful contry up there.

If anyone is interested in going, let me know. Maybe we can get a mix of LOST KJ's and Blue Mountain Jeep Alliance members up for this. Just remember, I am not promissing anything hard core.

I'm considering this, but the Southeast region - Berks/Schuylkill counties.
Closer to home.

That one isn't bad. My parents did that one in the past. It is a nice seanic drive that you can do in a car with stops every so often along a 9 mile loop. This one is a self guided tour along a 30 mile trail that is a little tougher of a ride. There are some beautiful look out points that we came accross last year. I believe there will be some BMJA people going to the Berks event also.

Do both counties have the guided and self-guided tours? I think I might come to the Berks one, but I'm all stock for now, will that be a problem? I know alot of State Game Lands have trails that their stock 4wd can handle. I might even bring K9 Tucker too.... :D

The event in Berks is a short 9 mile trip with booths to stop at every so often. Pretty much any vehicle could get through this one. I don't know if it is even on a trail. It might just be a road.

The one in Luzern and Wyoming counties is a 30 mile trail with a self guided tour. They give you a map and a booklet to let you know about the different areas and things they do. I am totally stock and made it though last year with no problem. It is more challenging than a hard packed dirt road, but nothing that you need any real mods for. With all the rain, the worst parts of the trail might be some mud puddles.

If you don't mind the ride and have the time to spend, I really recommend going to Luzern and Wyoming counties.

I have done the one in Berks County many times. Some areas can get bumpy, but as previously stated, most anyone can make it. In the winter it becomes a snowmobile trail. Very nice scenery when covered in snow. I also hunt in the area to the North of the trail in Schuylkill County. I'm going to try to get to the one up North but if not Berks will have to do

For anyone interested, I will probably be leaving the Temple area around 5 am with my parents following in their TJ. I am not sure when everyone else wanted to get there, but we were planning on right when it opens. We will probably be gassing up at one of the stations in the area or up 183 or 61 depending on how we go. If anyone wants to leave early, let me know. If not, maybe see yall on the trails!

If you could give us a little more notice next time, maybe more people could attend. One week is not enough for me and it really sounds like something I would be interested in.

Trust me, I would have liked to, but I only found it on the Game Commission's website the night I posted the first link.

My wife, stepson, and I will be going to the one in Luzerne Co.. We have friends who live in Conyingham, so it was an easy sell to the wife, since we will drive right past them on our way, as long as we stop and see them on the way home. Not sure what time we will be leaving, probably around 9 am, or sooner if I can get the boy up that early :D

I just drove past the entrance to the trail (Saturday 4:00 pm), for the Berks/Schuylkill tour of the game lands and there was a sign that said the tour was cancelled. There weren't any conservation officers around so I have no knowledge of why the tour was cancelled. No word on Game Commision web site either. We are still planning on going to Luzerne Co. in the morning.

Just found out why- POOR road conditions. Game commision worried about people getting stuck
