well its about time to start looking into an air locker. so I have the air system already.

I was wondering about what the cost of a shop doing it would cost, seems like alot of work, more than i want to do, I dont mind the wiring and running air line, just not crazy about pulling my differential and axle shafts, especially in my garage.

so basically whats a decent shop going to charge me for ARB air locker install, and possibly 3.90 or 4.10 gears.

Most places I've seen charge about $250-$350 for gear install/locker install, but for a ARB they ussually charge a $100 more for the fact you need to drill and tap the diff. The price shouldn't change if you change gears or not since they have to redo the gears anyway,be sure to get new seals and bearing while your at it.

I was quoted $350 for it. I'm planning on running all the electric and air lines, as well and specifically mentioned that when I asked for the quote.

Wow...thats really not that bad...or atleast it doesn't seem that bad to me. Dont get me wrong...thats a chunk of money just for labor (not including the locker and parts/etc.) but I would expect it to be more. How long would you guys guess it would take?

I'm eventually guna do a locker...and more than likely it will be an ARB.
