FINALLY someone that knows what they are doing! This place is clean. Real clean! And our kind of diesels is all they do. No big rigs, no gas anything.

I went all out and did:
Sun Coast Converter
Transgo shift kit
The front pump and cover
PML pan (standard finish)
Both filters and 16 quarts of fluid!
Left off the resistor-normal pressure.

Shifts about the same but everything feels alot more solid now all that weak links are out of my transmission. And it does have a tendency to chirp/slide the rear tires on turns more! I drive it like I stole it.
No more plastic stator, plastic washers and welded lugs on/in the torque converter. What a crappy way to save a buck.
Money well spent!

Mike and Chris from Auto Wurks Diesel did a great job. Nice for a change to get my KJ back from service without hand prints, dings and spilled oil all over, like my Jeep dealer did.

What'd all that run you if you don't mind me asking? Do they have any plans to open up shop in MN?

How about a performance assessment? Can you feel the change? Too rough?
We will also need a report after a couple tanks of fuel to see if consumption changed.

I would classify my Suncoast upgrade as a nice improvement over stock, but nothing wildly different. Based on the rabid raves from other folks, I wonder if my car drives the same way theirs does. Once yours has settled in (it will take a few weeks), I would be interested in getting together to compare rides. I'm in 18353.

I think the amount of "noticeable" difference is part subjective on the part of the driver (ie, driving style, how much they're "into" their vehicles), and part mechanical, what kind of shape their tranny and TC was in to begin with and what software version DC had loaded in the computers.

I've had the opportunity to drive 3 different CRD's that have had the Suncoast installed, all with different software and tranny history, and to my seat dyno, all three responded differently.

But all three showed definite improvement over stock, the difference was in the degree of noticeable improvement.

After I had my 01 cummins DTT'd, I really didn't notice much difference at first. But as I drove it more I began to notice the significant improvements. As time went on, it was without doubt my favorite mod. (It ought to be for the cost.) Now that I have a stock 06 trans to compair back to back, they are light years apart. I think I probably cuss that stock tranny every time I drive it. I think as time goes on, it will grow on you and you'll like it.

The whole deal was $2,604.38 , not bad considering all that's done.

BTW-- I forgot to mention these guys improved my rear main seal leak by 99%!
Yes I too have/had the rear seal leak for a bit, dripping about a quarter size drop.
The engine was checked all over: not from turbo, turbo oil drain, oil pan, valve cover, or intake hoses.

I would have liked to replaced the seal, but, as someone here coined the phrase, it was on "galactic back order!"

So what was the majority of the leak was the seal outer housing. ( I hope someone could post a pic of the seal, sorry I don't have one)
The shop externally cleaned it where the outer seal housing meets the rest of the engine/block and applied "gray International sealer" Told this sutff is from Ford/International and used on the 7.3/6.0's.

Now only one lower bell housing bolt has a slight film of oil on it, and its not dripping on the ground!
Major improvement.
