WOW. Pretty sure it is Euro though. Darn.

Seems like it is fairly well trail worthy stock if it can do this.

That looks like it would have been a fun day in the woods!

Thanks for the pictures and hopefully you'll not be in trouble seeing as the new KK's have been released for public viewing now.

Interesting pics. Thanks Clint.

From the sales traiing brochure I just got the angles are all pretty much the same as the KJ. Wheelbase is 2" longer. Note it doesn't have the bloated bumpers the early KJs have.

I see they're still using that funky front swaybar design.

Think we'll see Superlift come out with a lift like they did for the Grand and Cdr?

I don't think we should hold our breath about a Superlift 4 inch lift. They promised us one years ago, than they'd finish it right after they built the JK lift for the SEMA show, yada yada yada. Haven't seen many Cdrs or GC with the lift, or any lift for that matter.

Can't be a E-spec as there are no e-spec parts on it that I can see. Hmm if it does come with the same 2.8 like here or maybe the 3.0L I am game the KJ is gone.

Being a CRD owner, I feel like a member of the "left behind" crowd. Wow.

I do think the Euro 2007 and up come with Particulate Filter...might be the "tail" piece

Thanks Corwyyn, You hit the nail right on the head. I have a job to do and some things doing this kind of work I have to be very careful doing. I know I post a lot of pictures before they really should be out to the public but my heart is always for the LOST group. I will provide pictures and more info as soon as I can. Thanks for understanding. Later...Clint

Totally bummed... Red Bird is less than an hour from my house. I would have liked to meet you even without seeing the KK as my chances of getting out west are slim to none for a long, long time.

Found a typo.

I wonder if that one magazine, that hates Liberty's, was in attendance?

Jeep engineers designed the course? Hmmmmm..... Why not use Mother Nature-designed courses? We have plenty here in the Rockies.

Are you kidding? The same magazine that only rated the Liberty 3.7 as realiable and the rest as :!:

No, they were at the Tundra plant a few miles away salivating and playing with their dotted circles.

In deference to them, bring back the "agrarian" jeep! (not that I remember the article or hold a grudge or anything...)

Hey guys, Just wanted to give a first hard trail report from Indy. We are at the Red Bird Off Road park with the media doing our trail runs in the new KK and man they are working great. The traction control works outstanding on the trail and the hill descent control is unreal. I do not even see a need for lockers with the traction control...just a little gas to put torque to the wheels and it locks the spinning wheel to get you moving. Works very well. The media guys were shocked at how well the new KK works off road. Sorry but I can not post pictures yet or I will be in deep doo-doo for dang sure but you know me...I will sneak some in for sure for you guys. I am very impressed with the new KK and it has some outstanding features. In low range, first gear we were crawling down a VERY steep, slick hill at 1.5 mph without any help from the brakes at all. This control feature is outstanding and I am sure it will show up on a lot of other rigs as well. Keep checking back for a few sneak shots...Sorry I need to keep my job so give me a few days but you guys are going to be very happy with the new rig coming out for dang sure. Later...Clint

Your own personal opinion since you have had first hand driving experience in both the kj and kk. Which one overal performs better offroad stock?

And how about approach and departure angles? Does the spare tire seem to be a major issue? Any noticeable differences in flex? I'm extremely curious.... :D

Doesn't matter. Oversized spares will end up on the roof rack or on a swing-away rear mount.

Science Guy, AllJeep, and I have been wanting to stage a run there for months. I've wanted to hit it since last year's Land Rover event. I'm game for late September or early October. Gotta squeeze in some wheeling before Baby #3 comes around Halloween!
