Which turbo?
I think there was two kinds.
Early one was non-VGT and external waste gated and the current ones are VGT and internally waste gated.

That may be true there, but in the U.S. we only had the variable for both model years.

I think somebody did post a part number at one time, but good luck finding it.

Garret part number 35242112G.

According to this thread:
http://lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtop ... art+number

And this was why I was wondering......looks like someone else got it though.

I looked and found that post too but didn't bring it up as I read the post to indicate that the number was the DC part number. It seems to follow DC numbering format not Garrett from other associated posts I read. One would think you might be able to find a cross refernce if that is true though.

Ahh ok, I heard you guys were behind... didn't think by that much!
*tongue in cheek*

Anyone know if you can bolt in the VGT turbo on to the non-VGT?
Exhaust will need to be modded to fit it but will the ECU be happy?

The p/n for the turbo on one of my invoices is 514279AC, this was used on a 06.

I think the Garrett designation is GT2256V, from what research I've done, if that helps at all.
