Was there ever an offering from Jeep for Hepa filtration on the HVAC system?

Not for KJ's,I think Grands have that option, maybe not HEPA filters but cabin filters.

I put the aftermarket Mopar filter on my mother Jeep. They didnt make one for the KJ so I just used regular filter media. Not as good as the WK filter, but it helps.

Mine has been in there for two years and Ive not checked it.

haha, I use the inside air more than the outside but I would say its time to check it.

The WK filter should last longer since it has more surface area. Ill probably change it every 30k or so.

Thanks Jeepjeepstr, looks like I'll have to fabricate one similar to what you have done.

Like the last pic states '01 KJ's and the pic above that states that one only fits KJ's made from 10/01 to what ever, what about the KJ's built from 03/01 to 09/01? Oh and yes all considered model year '02 by the VIN,heck the '14 WKII's are going to be hitting the dealerships in about 2 weeks and it's not even Feb of '13 yet.

What doesn't make sense? The filter receptor is the same for a lot of Chrysler models.

The filters are from 3F and Frigair (at least the ones I found recently)

Well I have 2 friends in Germany looking and a friend in Romania looking for these filters. I am going to try one and see if it fits. If it does, I might order a 100 of them and sell them.

I saw the RECEPTOR part AFTER I picked up the Jeep part from the dealer. The AB part is different from the AA part#. It has a square basket instead of the round basket like is shown.

How does the filter mount? If it replaces the "receptor" then thats fine, if it goes over, then the AB part # will not interchange.

There is a filter for the AB part as well - the AB one was fitted after 06 I think.
And they both sit on top of the receptor. Actually if you look at the pivs closely, it is secured with a screw on each side.

sent from another dimension with smoke signals :-P

So you have a part# for the AB part as well?

Nevermind I found it: S1658 or S658

Email sent to Quality filters in Italy as well.

Here is the one for the AB
