Well maybe when the next one comes along you'll use what you learned here and do a better job of communicating with the salesperson as it's obvious he considered you another "tire kicker"

I spent 3 hours at the dealer buying my 06 new but got the color, model and equiptment I wanted and paid what I thought was agood honest price, $5k off sticker. I got mine when they were selling out of 06 models, early summer 06, some dealers would drop $7k off the sticker depending on how loaded it was

and others a few hundred

Now it's a seller's market for used ones

You make me wish I was not in the NW when I got mine. The ones out here were dissapearing less than 24 hours after they arrived, and most dealers were *inflating* prices around $6k due to the high demand. My original sticker reads $32k for a Sport with a few options! On the other hand, I paid $8k less since my gf's father is a Chrysler engineer, so I don't know that I could have done better in your neck of the woods, but who knows?
With the huge disparity in demand/pricing one would think that it might be worth it to launch a diesel passenger vehicle for the states where its high demand, and just forget the midwest or something since the negative reports on sales seem to come from there.
