Does anybody have the snapon ethos scanner? I just got one and It does not have the crd engine for the kj in it. Anyone else come across this?

Did you get the deluxe or standard package? The deluxe has proprietery Chrysler software. If you have the deluxe and it isn't crd compatable that sucks. It is the cheapest scanner that snap-on offers. ( about $1500!!!)

Ya its the deluxe version, I got it on an overstock sale from a district manager, $600 off.

The software only goes to 2005 on chrysler. It might be avaliable in an update. You should call snap-on.

I called snap-on, the said that they do not offer coverage for the jeep crd, nor do they plan to do so. This applies to all of there scanners. Just a warning for others. :evil:

i have that for my laptop works great for reading DTC and clear them. I didn't get the the enhanced functions what can you do with them?

Everything the DRB can do, all systems - haven't had time with the Jeep to try all the enhanced, but the pc will read the CRD engine and trans stuff, incl rail pressure and stuff like that - ranges from about 5-6k at idle to ~20k on the throttle, air

Everything the DRB can do? Does that include programming sentry keys and keyless entry remotes?

Air, you would need the DCX specific security software - that's not something they would willingly give access to
