I just installed Yukon gears and a Detroit TT. I rebuilt the rear because I got water in the rear and it started howling real bad. Now that the noise is gone I now hear a barely audible, almost electronic in sound (like that high pitch whine that comes from a tv but not quite as noticable), whine that is coming from either the transmission or the transfer case. Is there something I should be looking for?

Thanks,
Bill

If you got water in the rear end...did you replace the bearings? That sounds more like tje problem than the tranny or TC

Yep. Everything was replaced... The area the noise is coming from seems to be where the transfer case/transmission shifters are..

Could be normal new gear break-in noise. Should go away quick though. Backlash might not be set right also.
