Well, i just got back from a halloween party, everyone drinkin, except me because i was driving. But of course some who were drinking had to drive home. Now this one guy has a eaely 90s chevy half ton 2wd. And my buddies house has some big property and this old broken little shack he used to keep chickens in. So everyone decides the dude with the truck to floor it and ram his truck into the shed. Of course him being drunk did it, he backed in and then this being deeper in the bushes, his 2wd truck got stuck.

They tried pushing on it, shakin it side to side, but the thing wouldnt grip. Finally someone found some thick rope, and they asked if i had any tow hooks and if i had 4wd, i said yea, so we tied the rope to my tow hooks and to the guys stabilizer bar. A few good tugs and i got the truck out, this would be the first time i had to ever use my tow hooks. Of course i was the hero for the night which made my day lol. I was more worried about him hitting my jeep lol

Congrats! BUT, I would've left him stuck until morning. Did he drive home?

I've done some pulling of buddies in my KJ...I'm very impressed with its pulling/towing capabilities. The 3.7 has some good torque output, works great when traction is there. I pulled countless people out of snow drifts last winter, and people are amazed at the little liberty's ability! I can't wait for this winter...

Jeeps are just great vehicles all around...

It shouldn't...use 4-Lo and go easy...don't jerk him. Thats bad on the drive train I would think....

Just don't let the jeep start hopping!

Heck, the military used to pull airplanes with Jeeps. Imagine what a Jeep with a diesel could do. Mmmm, torque...

My only tow-hook experience was my fuel gelling last winter about 100 yrds (downhill) from my house and having my neighbox tow ME around the block with his explorer

Hopefully this winter will be a little snowy (which is rare here) and I'll get a chance to pull some of the 2wd silverado and f150 owners out of ditches. That'll redeem me in my own mind :)

I have only pulled on vehicle out so far. It was my friends lifted XJ and I pulled it out of a mud hole (no locker). I did it in 4-low and just let it idle... pulled it right out like nothing was there.

Anything BUT stupid (I get your joke)...after riding in Bugnout's, yea I'm sold.

I've always wanted a diesel, of course I couldn't afford, and the after reading the problems, it scared me. But I've read alot of the CRD forum, and riding in another one, they are just plain sweet. If I were to buy another KJ in the near future...the CRD would be something I would truly look into.
