It's on the calander, I'm going to do my best to make it happen. I was thinking about Paragon in November, but when a Jeep club puts on a fundraiser and Lynn donates the park for a worthwhile cause, I gotta be there if I can.

Randy

p.s. most of the oil is staying inside the YJ since I threw another pile of money at it. "Now she don't stink so bad"

Looks like a good reason to get the jeep into the woods. As far as paragon goes I think we should schedule a club run in Nov  . Thanks for posting the info Sandie. 8)

Which day is everybody most interested in? I'm not sure if I can do it, but if I do, it would be cool to see some of you guys there the same day.

Hi Everyone! I'd love to come. I've been trying to get in on the last few events and something keeps coming up causing me to miss out. I'm hoping sooner or later I'll be able to see what my Libby can do and meet some of you. I'm am concerned about driving the trails totally stock and wonder if I should wait until I get a lift and larger tires. Reading about the stockers scraping on the Fall Cruise, I'm a bit worried. I don't mean to sound like a whimp but I don't want to tear up my ride. I do want to get out and have some 4-wheelin' fun though. At this point I'm totally stock without any skid plates or extras like that. I hope to have the lift, tires and skid plates this Spring but I can't do any of that before then.

This is my first 4WD vehicle and I'm dyin' to see what it can do. Until this year, all I've ever owned were sports cars so this is a total change for me.

I like to participate in benefit events so I hope to make it out to this one.

First thing I would do is get all the Skids and some sort of rock rail protection. I was one of the two stockers on the GWNF run last weekend. I did hit the skids a few times...it really sounds worse than what it did...i inspected the underside quickly, and saw no dents, only some scraps on the factory skids (it's what they are there for anyway) and a dent on the muffler...the muffler hangs down about 1 inch below the skids, and i'm just waiting until i rip it off or something to replace it and have the pipe bent so that it will tuck up better under the vehicle...mostly if you pick the right line going up a trail, then you should be able to make it...within reason of course...

Our plan is to make the entire weekend of it. We will head up Friday after work and camp the entire weekend.

The last time we (MALOST) went there was one stock boy. What in the world ever happened to Matt? He never posted after. THink we scared him off?
He had a Renegade and whatever skids came with that, no lift, no tires. He did well, except for almost tiping over.

The factory skids are fairly cheap and you can buy them online. I have been out many times when I was stock and it would have been a bad day if I did not have any protection. You don't sound like a wimp, you sound like you don't want to replace $1,000 parts and you can't be blamed for that. I know this sounds crappy but ride alongs are free and there is usually an open seat + it will give you the chance to see if this is for you without the chance of damage to your Libby.

I will be up Saturday too. If you guys want to ride together. Pretty much stock my self. Have the armour but no lift or tires yet.

Someday someone will put a full suspension lift kit together for the CRD.

I've got most of my toys but I will stick with the stock group. Nothing like being with the new guys to feel the rush.

It's less than a week away, and I'm ready to ride. Does anyone know when regestration starts and ends? The park normally opens at 8am so I guess I'll try to be there on Sat. around that time. It looks like I'll be solo this time and wheelin the YJ. Saturday is a definite, Sunday's a maybe. See you all this weekend.

I borrowed this from my husband's club board:

Everyone who registers as a driver for the benefit will receive one door prize ticket. You may purchase as raffle and 50/50 tickets as you want. You will need to be present Sat. evening in order to win door prizes and the 50/50's however you will not have to be present to win the raffle items.

Tentative schedule for the weekend
Fri. evening registration 7:00p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Sat morning registration 7:00a.m. to 9:00a.m.
There will be a drivers meeting and trail lineup at 9:00a.m. on Sat. morning. We will try to leave for trail rides at 9:30a.m.

Sat. evening the D.J./bonfire/door prizes/ raffles will start at 7:00p.m.

Sun. morning registration 8:00a.m. to 9:00a.m.
There will be a drivers meeting and trail lineup 9:30a.m.
Leave for trails at 10:00a.m.

Will post a better schedule after the meeting Tues. evening. We will also be able to let you know what time you will be able to start arriving to set up camp on Friday.

Hope to see you there!!!!!!!

Sorry guys and Sandie, I will not be able to join "ya'll on this here ride" (the WV comm'n out of me). My brother has hooked us up with about 30 acres that only we are allowed to hunt on. So I will be doing my best fat man on the side of a tree and hoping that his stand will hold up for another year while trying to stay awake impersonation. I will however be at Paragon and hope to see some of ya'll there.
Chris

Well it looks like I will not be able to run with you-all Saturday. :( I will be stuck at work. I now plan on coming up Saturday evening. Be there for the party and run Sunday.

How many Mid-Atlantic folks will be wheeling this day.

I will be the guy in the Liberty. :P

See you there
Jason
