did any one who installed the rusty's spacer lift have any problems with the rear making a smacking noise. the sound reminds me of loose strut mount that you would hear on the front of a car. i checked the shock spring and spacer and they seem to be fine. although only one side is making the noise when i go over bumps in the road. any ideas????

I DID TAKE OFF THE REAR SWAY BAR, I'M NOT SURE IF THAT WOULD AFFECT ANYTHING SINCE I DID THE SPACERS NOT THE COILS

No swaybar won't cause this noise. I would guess that it's the classic rusty rear shocks not fitting super tight. If you did the install yourself you can add a washer to the shocks, if not it's really not a big deal but you should have the shop take a look at it make sure everything is tight.

Normal, don't worry so much.

SO WOULD I ADD WASHERS TO THE UPPER MOUNT I WOULD ASSUME??
I NOTICED THAT THEY DON'T FIT AS FLUSH AS THE STOCK ONES

I have added washers and tried bending the area around the mount and I still have a smacking sound. It's really nothing to worry about it's just kind of anoying. I did however find that turning the radio up helps.

You might want to turn the "Caps Lock" key off unless you meant to shout.

the one difference i did see is that the new shocks do not come with metal sleeves inside the bushings i would assume that is the noise i am hearing other than that i can't find anything else that would make noise

You may just need to tighten your upper shock bolt until the mount pinches in and contacts the the head of the shock.

I have the Rancho's but needed to really tighten them down to stop the knocking over small bumps.
