Put on the snow tires this week but the tireshop didn't torque down the lug nuts. The wife started to notice some noise while driving. How much damage may occur to the alloy wheels when the wheel lugs were not properly tightened by the tire shop?
Some wheel shops say this may strip/damage the wheels which may need to have metal inserts placed in where the nuts contact the wheel. Anybody have issues like this?
You must recheck the torque on the lug nuts after about 20-50 miles, even if they where torqued correctly they will loosen up after about 20-50 miles and need to be rechecked.I bet it says on the reciept to recheck the lug nuts after a few miles, everytime I have gotten tires it has always been on the reciept.
