THis must have been before my time.. what was the product just out of curiosity? ( I have a sneaking suspision I know the answer, just based on the way certain items are talked about)

I say,"Hey All J Products"..."If we come up with 10 guys... are you willing to setup 10 bumpers for us?" Any takers... do we really have even have 10 guys here that are up for this...If not then maybe we should just drop this and move on... Any takers? Looks like I am putting the LOST guys and the All J Products guys on the spot? later...Clint

If it fits an '05 and isn't anymore than $700 then I'm all in!

Again guys, I am not pointing the finger at anyone...I am just saying that dont beat up on any of the vendors to make a product unless you are really wanting it. Lets see if we can get 10 guys that are really willing to put up for a bumper and then we will see if Quinn will work with us. Thanks guys. Any takers? Later...Clint

Clint is right. Let's get Quinn to quote us a price on these provided we get 10 serious buyers (and even that might not be enough people to get this going). You can't honest say you're in until we get some specs and the $$$ figures. I'd still like to know what the weight is on these as well.

IF the price is right and IF the specs sound good THEN count me in.

Edit: I just realized this does not allow me to use my stock fog lights. Hmmm...

Skyjump.
NO IF's allowed. They only further the issue and reinforce the reasons that the bumper is not in production today.

Clint asked a specific question. The bumper is real and has been seen - It is lighter, allows more clearence, and IMHO looks better than any other bumper out there. Add to the fact that the price we are talking about (Yes, a price has been stipulated) is WAY less than any aftermarket currently available.

I am not trying to speak for the All J Products guys but lets say they were to offer the front bumper for ...700 bucks which is way lower than anyone elses bumper...but needed a ture, firm comitted commitment from say 10 guys ...do we really have 10 guys that would call and give them a credit card number?

Please, guys (& girls) lets make sure that you are ready to do this today if you say you are in. As clint said, by saying you are in you are making a "True, firm comitted commitment". Take a look at the pictures of Wally's rig. This bumper is awesome.

Later,
J

skrracing is right, step up to the plate. I wanted a bumper, ARB built one, I bought it. I was lucky and got a good deal, but if you want it, you have to be willing to pay the price.

As far as weight goes, the ARB is heavy, but the winch is heavier. Fortunately ARB makes springs to go with their bumper, with or without the winch. Now that is customer support!

You missed my point. How can you say you are definitely in if you don't know how much the bumper is? Are you still in if it costs $2000? Doubt it...

Let's wait and see what Quinn has to say on the subject before we "step up to the plate" for a non-existant product that we don't have any information on.

It would be nice if it were less than ARB.

Question:
About this bumper. Is this the final product? Or can it be modified slightly? Open 2" reciever in the center and 2 D ring shackles on either side?

I'm in "if" the cost is roughly $500.00, give or take $50 bucks. But for that kind of money, people would like to see what they're getting. What are the specs. I'd personally like to see tabs for mounting shackles. Sure I can purchase the tabs later on, but then I'd have to clean the surface, weld the tabs, and re-paint the bumper. Even so, I'd be willing to commit to becoming a guinea pig just to see some progress and get the ball rolling. I think most people have reservations because they want variety. We're really limited right now and no one wants to make a $1,000 purchase to see a better, cheaper product come out a month later. The ARB bumper looks really good. Price is not the issue with me. I personally don't like the grill hoop or the auxillary lighting holes. Nor, do I want to puchase a winch right off the bat to fill the void. It could be more streamlined. I like the KISS principle. I prefer the short, stubby, no non-sense, stealth look. I know the Monitor Lizard bumper and others should be coming out soon and I can understand people wanting to do some comparison shopping. We all understand the concept of supply and demand. Blah, blah, blah. Like I said, I'm in if the price is approximately $500. I wouldn't pay much more than that for that particular bumper.

A...there is a picture of the bumper in this post already !

The price was 700.00...why did you even bother posting?

This is exactly why there isn't a bumper for you to call in and order !

IM IN....Build it...I'll buy it...

It IS less, in price and weight and gives more clearance.

Please look at the pictures in the begining of the thread. If you look close you can see that there is a place to mount what appear to be the factory recovery hooks. I am certain that you can adapt that to mount a D ring on either side.

Later,
J

The pictures are on PAGE 1. That is what those of us that have comitted will get if the lookey-loos get it together. It has also been stated that the price is 700

What are you looking for here??? It is roughly 100 lbs. It mounts on a KJ. It costs WAY less than any other available option. ALL OF THIS has been stated in this thread!

Okay, look at the pictures... There are tabs on either side that you can do what you like.

 Make up your mind - Price is or is not the issue. If you are not willing to pay the $700 that has been stated all over the thread then why post??? YOU ARE NOT going to find another bumper for under $850. Also as stated before, the other options are much heavier.

Thanks!
J
