That's remarkable!

The other KJ that I saw with high miles was a CRD from germany. That had racked up about 400,000kms too, but it had its engine replaced after 350,000kms. Still exceptional to hear how far those engines will last. Even though we have no idea of why it got replaced, 350,000kms is pretty good.

umm.. Lets see, at the rate Im going now.

Took me 4 years to get 30k so,

247,000/30,000=8.2333

8.233*4=32.932 years.

I think thats right. :?

He says he has over 325,000 now.

HA I got that beat
it would take me 50+ years in the TJ to do that
while the engine under "normal" conditions will go that far I do not think under my conditions it will make much over 100K
but if I get it on a trailer the it will probably never see 75K

And I thought Jeepster's post count was higher than his mileage. Learn something new every day.

I am slowing down on putting miles on mine, ...has taken me 39 months to hit 95,000, used to do that in less than twenty four months.

Hey jb4204562 what happen to your engine that you had to replace rather than get repaired? I have an 02 with 146,000 and will be 6 years early next year. I am looking to keep until 200K if i can. I maintaine it very well , 3000K oil change all fluids every 25K and anything else that need attention. want engine did you put in? What prices for a new ,rebuilt, junk yard motor. good luck on new engine.

I literally beat my jeep to kingdom come..... lol... as for motors... re manufactured is over 4 grand, junkyards range from 1000 to 1800 with a 90 day warranty on parts.. I'm looking at maybe stuffing the 4.7 in there... but it's looking like it will be a lot of work.... to make it turn key... I have a price of 1500 dollars right now to install another 3.7 with 50,000 miles on it... that comes with 90days warranty on parts and 90 days warranty on the labor..... or for a little under 2 grand I can get everything i need from a grand cherokee.... but that is minus the painstaking install.. grrrrrrrr.... lol.. i'm still trying to decide,.,..
