Bent my tow hook brackets

If I'm replacing brakes on a customer's car and I do a half-assed job and say "well, that's the best I can do" and leave a caliper slider bolt or banjo fitting loose, that could cost somebody their lives. Everything you do has its repercussions or rewards later...and I like rewards, so I do stuff right.

Considering this thread is pertaining to tow hooks on a Jeep forum, and not on a college course in the English language, this seems to be a very uncouth approach to helping your fellow man, by publicly chastising and humiliating him in a demoarlizing fashion for all the members of this forum to view. :cry:

Dyslexia doesn't mean you're slow, it's a visually-based disability. I wasn't chastising him and I'm sorry if he felt that way. I've known quite a few dyslexic people that are VERY intelligent. You also don't need to attend college to know how to present yourself verbally...

at any rate...if you bend tow hooks, Beep, I hope you go a little easier on your equipment, or upgrade to a front hitch or bumper...like I said before, a bigger rig is always a good advantage:D

So the part of the uni body that the hooks attach to is not replaceable? I would think it would be as it is a crumple zone :?:

how about we stop argueing and get back to the tow hooks and stay there

I dont think it replaceable, but a front hitch would work very good

The only problem with a hitch receiver is I live in NJ... Meaning my license plate has to be on the front as well as the back

To keep on topic- Ca calls for a front plate too. I just moved mine over to the left so I could have access to the front hitch. There's still plenty of space for my hands on the sides of the hitch to pop in a shackle or connect the winch.

BeepBeep, If you decide on getting a hitch instead of using the mounting brackets, remember, I could use the brackets.

IIRC the front hitch connects to the same thing

Look I dont care what you do as the chances that I will ever be on a trail with you are slim to none
but I would think that you would take good advice and replace the bent and broken parts
you made it quite clear that you dont intend on learning any way but the hard way but to learn at the cost of some ones life or serious injury is crazy
