Do like I did , put mine on with less than a 1000 miles, never worried about it. If they are going to void the warranty due to a muffler then they will find other things as well, better be careful what kind of wax you use on it, only factory oil and air filters, get Jeep air for the tires, Thats just STUPID!!

A muffler cannot void any type of warranty. A dealer must PROVE that a muffler can cause damage to something and a muffler cannot.

Now if you put the muffler bearings in backwards you may be in a d**n tight spot!

But arent the muffler bearings marked on the case right hand or left hand and also they have an arrow pointing towards the front, of course everyone may not know that,  also depends if you are right eyed or left eyed as to what will work best for you :P

i dont know, what really gets me going is that they covered my neighbors truck under their extended powertrain warranty for his dodge thats lifted, big tires, custom exhuast, chip, and intake. Yet im going to void a warranty with just a muffler?

They MUST prove the muffler caused something to go out-of-spec for them to deny your warranty. They are just saying that it will void your warranty because they are @$$holes, like just about every dealership, (especially Jeep dealerships handling Jeep Liberty owners). They don't like having to deal with modified vehicles, so they told you that so if something DOES get messed up because of the muffler, you will know they won't cover it. Do you think the muffler is going to change anything? You shouldn't, so get the muffler. If they try to pull any denying warranty crap on you, ask them to prove it and/or go to a different dealership.

Wait, I realized your in Canada. It may be different up there...

im speaking to the owner and service manager of the dealership via email, they say they give the owner the benefit of the doubt and will not go out of their way to point the blame to the modifications unless its made obvious that it did cause the failure, thats what i have been told by the manager so far. I gave him my number and i want him to phone me and get his personal opinion on the matter and see if he actually beleives the muffler could be the soul cause of a fatal engine failure.

Because like i said my neighbors truck is fully modified with custom chips and all they covered him no problem.

just put the muffler on and be done with it, no way it could hurt the engine, heck theres a Dodge dealership where I used to live that will put on any custom exhaust you want before you buy the truck, works it into the deal!

im glad u didnt let the stealership discourage u form getting a muffler. they might not like what u have done but others are right it has to be the cause of why something went wrong. i cant wait to hear that rumble either. ive been wanting a flowmaster for a while now but ive put other mods first.

how hard is it for a shop to make it so the end sticks out instead of pointing down like the tailpipe does now?

So whatever happened? Did ya get the beast? Does it make you deaf? Does it vibrate your ribcage when you get on it? Does it sound less like a Barbie's Liberty and more like GI's lil tinker toy? I've been reading up on it and can't imagine the volume difference based on Flowmasters numbers for interior noise compared to the 50 series. Dad's got a 50 delta on his Yukon... and I have to say I wasn't all that impressed....
