I think the reference was to trying to put Moog's in the upper control arms.
Moogs are standard replacements for the lower arms.

That is a notable quote!

Yes, I was referring to ATXKJ and TJKJ's posts where we could not replace them. (If in fact upper ones are the culprit in my case)
If it is the lower ones, then it sounds like it will be no problem. But I just have to make sure that it is in fact the lower ones, before I go buy Moog LBJ.

Does anyone have a link to a place where I can order them, or check pricing?

You all are WRONG!!

Don't you know a Squirel Fart when you hear it?

Jesus guys he even got it on tape. Eating accorns all day will give them a hell of a bout of gas.

Anyway, BALL JOINTS, COLD weather.

Support the front and turn the wheel then, same noise?

If all else fails SHOOT THE SQUIREL!!!!!

Will jack up the front a bit then turn this weekend (i hope nothing collapses until then). Over bumps, the noise is there, but it is not the instant wheels bump up, it is more of a stretching squeak when it rocks side ways. I feel like there is also some noise from the rear, or it could be my paranoia.

You have a balljoint on the rear upper tri-link also.

You can get MOOG's anywhere that sells MOOG chassis parts,Summit may be the best/cheapest place on the web,the part # is K3199,make sure they are the HD ones with the grease zerks,MOOG also makes the OEM ones and they are labeled K3199's.When I got mine from CarQuest one was right and one was the OEM one but labeled the same part#.

Thanks TJKJ,
I also noticed ATX's link to Jeepin By Al's moogs.

At summit, only this one shows up: Moog AMGK3199.
PS: Called the dealer, thy asked $105 to check up what's the matter with it.

I had pretty good timing when mine went bad. The first recall had been done and the new ball joint failed soon after. I had them replaced with the K3199 greasables along with my strut fork spacers. After that was done the second recall was issued. I sent copies of my reciepts to DC with a letter explaining that I had the repairs done prior to the recall issue and was reimbursed for the whole thing. Like I said, lucky timing. The ironic part is that the failure showed up at the mall  The mech spotted it right away, I suspected the LBJ, he put his head down there and pushed and pulled at the bumper and wheel and could tell right away where the noise was coming from, it was pretty loud. I didn't drive it at all until I got it fixed. You ever see a truck on the side of the road after the LBJ separates entirely?

I have no choice but to keep driving it.
Today after I parked the jeep, I went out on the side and rocked it as hard as I could, sideways by jumping on door sill.. No noise at all. So we know it is not the suspension, or my rocking wasn't strong enough. Dealer gave me Feb 25th morning for the first available spot.

I was told by a fellow jeeper that LBJ replacement following recall should still be under warranty since there was a recall on them. (JeepJeepster)

According to chrysler customer service, if I take it to the dealer, and if it is in fact lower ball joints that went bad again, and if dealer charges me for it, I can call back Chrysler and have them try to resolve the issue with the dealer..

That's only if they're loose. Loose balljoints don't squeak...balljoints that have lost their lubrication squeak, and are on their way to being loose.

How will I make sure that the dealer don't just grease/oil them and deliver the jeep back to me?

you can not grease stock ball joints, well you sort of could but not realistically. If they go to that much trouble to not do whats right well they are crooks

Put some marks or hammer a few marks onto the ball joint and take a picture.
