Yeah, in Barcelona :D

Just kidding, I think we'd best then meet up somewhere in France? So we all drive the same distance?

Let's say Paris..

Keltick: 1016 Km + 2 ferry's or 1 and or channel train.
Tony: 1079
Jimmy: eeeh? from the North of UK mainland: Leeds-Paris 730 Km
Uffe / Delphinus : 1223
Welsh dragon: 815 can hook up with Keltick and Jimmy
Jinstall/Jeep Jim: 520 -ish
Finkj: from Helsinki 2300 so he's not coming
Red lion:374 ( we are in his backyard!)

Did I forget anyone?

You could come here to Luxembourg and enjoy the country. I still have one or two fully worked out trips with roadbooks and we could even drive a good deal of tracks. Beside diesel is 1.02 €.
How about that?

Let's see if we can agree on a date somewhere.
Or if any of you will pass through Luxembourg (almost always on the way from east to west or from Scandinavia to southern France or Spain) just tell me.
BTW, I don't know about beer as I rarely drink alcohol at all but the eating here is excellent. Oh yes, we have the lowest taxes on alcohol and tobacco all around up to Poland.

Luxembourg, is not far form here either. Normally for race weekend we are right across the border. I know there is a really good seafood place in the city as well as a great place for buying baby stuff.

Alain, if Keltick and I come over we'll teach you how to drink, don't worry. The Irish (never get drunk) and the Dutch (never stop drinking)....bad combo :D

Anyway this meeting thing is starting to get serious, I talked to my wife about it and she's OK if I go....alone, since she is not into the 4x4 thing and she doesn't want to leave our kids (dogs) in the care of others for more then a day or two.

So Alain is there a campsite in Luxembourg where we could stay for maybe a week? I have been in Luxembourg capitol before and the hotels all seem pretty expensive...

I'd better start a new topic on this.

Yeah, we can do such a thing.
Campgrounds are plenty, so that shouldn't be a problem except in high season but we can surely find something once I get a fixed date.
I can also look for a hotel, no idea on price though.
Coming over from UK and Ireland? Calais is nearest. Always cheap offers on ship or tunnel, often 2 x 24 hours return (let the return go) is cheaper, should check. Or anything in Belgium is near, max 330km. From Calais it's a quiet 4 hour drive on toll-free motorways.
About drinking... we have some well visited Irish pubs and some english, too. As there's quite an international community here with lots of danish people to it might get interesting.
So let's see if we can make up some date. I'd personally prefer not too late as we usually go on holidays at the end of August. Not sure still on this year...
If you want to visit some cultural highlights... Brussels is 2 hours away as is Strasbourg, Brugge 2hours and 45 minutes, Metz and Nancy can be reached in less time than the car needs to warm up.
Any suggestions?

Already been to Brugge, I'd rather stay on the campsite and drink beer / BBQ.

You should remember, there´s me to cover up too :D

And we drink like Irish, but get very drunk, then go to bed - now, who´s willing to do this? :P
