I don't know about anyone else but it seems as if this place becoming the very thing that the founders set out to avoid.

There has been much more hatred here lately about some of the strangest things. Why is that? Is it the price of gas that has everyone in such a bad mood these days? We as a group completely chased a Patroit owner off the range. There's a crazy thread in the tires section about A/T tires making your KJ a mall crawler.

Am I the only one that has noticed this? If so than maybe I have outlived my usefulness here.

You're not the only one. Seems to happen to a lot of boards this time of year. Too little sun, cabin fever, high gas prices or just plain jerks. Take your pick. Things usually get back to normal when people can get out wheeling instead of sitting in front of their computer endlessly debating the merits of MT's over AT's.

so if we all lived out west in the deserts or down south where its almost always warm, then none of this would happen? Oh wait not everyone who complains lives in the cold north where it s too cold to get out and play so that cant be it. Maybe its the fact that we have seen way too many political commercials lately!!

I think 86% of LOST members are just upset because they aren't going to the LOST safari in Moab.

It happens because people are proud of what they own. Few realize that you can infact wheel a vehicle that is not a Jeep, or a Wrangler, or a Liberty, or a... you get the point. People are not willing to realize that not everyone cares if their rig is the best. They just don't care. People (who own patriots, or commanders, or chevys, or fords) just want to have fun like all the rest of us do. The Jeep Liberty is quite a ways from the most capable off-road vehicle, and anyone who thinks otherwise is in denial.

Whether you're in a 2wd 1/4ton pickup truck or a lifted rubicon on 54's, the goal is the same: Have fun. Too bad for anyone who thinks differently.

Don't worry folks, it happens all the time and it blows over and/or people get blown out of here. Just keep up the good job of keeping things on topic and allow the hotheads to vent and show themselves to the Ban button.

Technically it's not anyones fault... I just considered this place a family friendly environment and recently the tone is just a little bit off color and that got me thinking. We've seen KJ4Me (i think that was him) stop posting because of an issue and then the Patroit episode and so on which has me wondering. I'm not saying everyone here is behind it and I'm not trying to single people out either.

I just wonder if we, as a group, have lost sight of the reason this place was formed.

I understand what you're saying, sleeve, and I wonder about it sometimes too. I didn't realize we had bullied a Patriot owner off the board, that sucks.

Whenever I get grumpy about poison posts I read here from time to time, I remember about all the stuff I am learning and it helps some. Right now I'm learning about torque converters. 8)

This group has helped me change from being a vehicle owner who takes everything to the dealer and bitches about it, to someone who is gradually learning to do everything for myself and feeling much happier.

But for those who don't want to lighten up, or can't, JJ is right, they eventually go away, one way or another.

Hold up, I haven't left... Hell I am just waiting on my parts to come in the mail...

I got my tires today and RRO sent my my tracking number yesterday. I should be lifting my Patriot later this month...

Trust me I am not that easy to chase off!
