Picked mine up from the dealer last night. Two front axles and one drive shaft later... It still freaking clatters! The bad thing is that it really only clatters when decelerating from about 30 to 0. It is kind of difficult to climb underneath and check things out while also decelerating. How do I check the engine mounts?
I tracked mine down with a stethescope and it's being transmitted into the passenger compartment through the steering column. My car is currently in the stealership for a brake issue (all the fluid pissed out at once - that'll cost me) and I'm having them take a look at the mounts. They probably don't need replacing, but the stealership will want to (and charge me - I'm out of warranty). But my rattle started immediatly after the torque converter recall. That's why I'm currently blaming the mounts.
