B.T.T.: California could do more for the environment by targeting smog belching vehicles with expired tags and checking out the drivers who may be illegal, wanted, or just missing than by harassing diesel owners or companies who manufacture them.
I'm quite sure you are right. But you KNOW that the pro-amnesty bunch would be INSTANTLY out on crusade howling about how it is simply profiling the innocent hispanic who is only looking to get an honest day labor's pay under the table so they can send it Western Union back south of the border.
Its not profiling, its common sense. I was in Las Vegas 2 years ago when they were having all those marches and demonstrations in LA and the rest of the southwest. All of the mexicans called in sick and went to the march in Vegas too. Threw the whole city into turmoil.
I'm fully in favor of the enforcement of existing laws that allow status checks for anyone stopped for any other offense. Get pulled over for that expired tag? Get checked for status. Not a citizen, and not here legally? How about we stop feeding and housing them in our jails, but set up an IMMEDIATE transfer to the border.
Offer dorm-style housing, $200 / week and free gasoline and ammo to rednecks to guard the border. Same laws as anywhere else, they can't shoot anyone unless they are defending themselves... But nothing against firing into the air or the ground. I'll bet you will have more eyes on that border than if you told them that the invaders were hooters girls.
Anyone who wants to fix a dam knows you have to PLUG THE LEAK FIRST. Why can't our government figure that out?
