Being the OEM tires are sidewall deficient, I think the ride height will be close and handling is 100% better. As far as looks go, it looks the same. I would have to lose a boatload of MPG to make up for the $250-300 I saved on these tires. Plus I mainly do city driving so it might actually increase. I don't think anything will be drastic and I was not being sarcastic. When you ask is anyone running these tires as your question and you get a bunch of theoretical replies...that is not answering my question now is it? If I ask who owns a black CRD and I get 10 replies saying how they like blue and red better and for what reasons...how is that answering my question?

the first two responses you got were answers...not theories. Im not sure what is theoretical about
Quote:
Your going to loose mpg's going with a smaller tire then stock, you will be turning more RPM's in every gear and speed then when you had the stock tires which = less mpg's.

Darby's response was the same....its fact, not theory.

Also, 5 fillups at the pump and there goes your tire savings (with gas at today's price)...I do 5 fillups in about a month....maybe 5-6 weeks during the summer....I suspect you will have your tires a lot longer than a month and a half....even if you dont fillup 5 times in three months...those tires will be losing mpg long after you saw the initial savings. You will have those tires for a couple years at least.

Not trying to pick...but I don't see any "theories" in the first set of responses...those facts are from guys who know. Rationalize the price any way you want....you ARE losing serious mpg with every trip you make...city driving or not...in fact in the city, you get even less. The fact (not theory) that your speedo is 4 mph off now and was off to begin with (another KJ fact) is proof in the pudding.

Nonetheless...can you let us all know what kind of stats you see over the next few fillups? Definitely got yourself a great deal on great tires....love those, just in the right size.

X2. Just not quite enough benefits to outweigh the negatives for me... but it isn't me, its you and you're free to do whatever you want and I won't give you brown stinkies for it. I know I have done a bunch of stuff that people thought was retarded but I wanted to do it my way. Such is life, you can't please everyone.

For what it's worth I went to a slightly taller tire and lost mileage. 225/75/16 to 245/70/16 29lbs per tire to 31 lbs per tire. Braking distances went up drasticly. Sidewall deflection went down. Dry grip went way way up. Ride smoothed out. Towing settled down as well. Lots of pros and cons.

Well your speedo was way off before and is even more off now. It also won't be good for mileage. But the most important thing is that you like the way it looks and drives...it is your Jeep.

Well I guess you can find out the rest of your answers on a Bridgestone Specific Forum from now on...you are banned! How is that for being direct and to the point?

Pote..how on earth can I lose $250-$300 in 5 fillups? Now I know why you think their theories were "facts"..you guys are not the brightest KC Daylighter on the brushguard when it comes to math.

If I lose 2mpg per tank on average that is 35miles lost. 35 miles is 1.5gals @ $4 gal = $6 per fillup. It would take 50 fillups or roughly 22,000 miles to start losing money.

Well the facts are in...speedo is 2.5mph off at 70mph which is 3.5% and is also the same as what my friend's 06 with stock tires is off. My gas mileage has not changed that I can see, it is still about the same % off from th evic when corrected(10% off).
