Hey everybody, getting and installing a OME lift with only myself and my dad. I figured it would not be a terrible idea to ask if there would be any chance of a helping hand with experience. I'm located about two hours south of Chicago, in Streator IL 61364 but would be willing to drive.

Looking at getting tires on or before May 10th so I know it's very short notice but I thought I'd ask.

Thanks
Dave

My biggest issue now is finding a place to compress the springs... Sears said no, local auto place said yes but gave me a estimate of 260 dollars which is rediculously high to only compress a set of springs and toss them on the struts.

Any one know where would be good places to look?

Dave

Dave ,
Look for some small type garages, stay the heck away from Sears/Firestone etc find a 4X4 shop or like I said a good mom and pop where the mechanics actually know a muffler bearing from a whoflickie
I got mine done at a local shop for like 20 bucks!

Tom

I have had good luck getting pepboys to do it, for around $40. Check with an auto parts store like that that also has a garage.
