well i thought i was doing something completely ordinary by lifting my jeep with OME MDs springs and OME shocks and Rancho struts. I also went with the Rusty's .75" poly spacer thinking with would simulate the spacer that comes with the Frankenlift. but after a month i have had issues. i have blown out both my struts with minimal use (speed bumps and 1 time minor off-roading). do i need to remove the spacer or get the bigger a-arm or is there something i just missed? im pretty pissed off at myself so i need help from you guys how actually know what the hell your doing. thanks.

I too blew out Rancho struts as well as original struts so I am not fond of either in a lifted application w/ medium wheeling. I am not positive that the OME's will hold up better but I would trust them more so than the Ranchos. (switching to them in near future myself from a set of worn out Ranchos) Unless you have something really wrong w/ your front end or are not telling us how you catch air on those whoops or speed bumps  , I would just blame the struts.

Ranchos are bad ...don't think so.
I have over 60,000 miles on mine with OME Heavy Duty springs and have wheeled them hard at times and no problems.
I would say it was the fact that you installed the .75 poly spacer in there that kept the struts at their limit all the time that did it. OR you are way harder going over speed bumps than I am

Also do you have any bumpstops (longer) in the front? If not then that could also be a problem. I would look at other things you have done before you just replace the struts and still have the same problem. LOTS of people use the Ranchos up front with zero problems

the franky also uses the daystar upper strut plate. I built my own "franky" with ome struts, HD springs, rusty's spacer and daystar upper strut plate and it is fine.

I would say that is most likely your problem.

Did you install a daystar upper strut mount with that 3/4" poly spacer?

If cubwin1 did use the daystar upper strut mount then it may be something else , but if he used the stock one with the .75 spacer I think there in lies the problem, could be wrong, my wife tells me so all the time but.......

At least the Rancho's have a life time warranty on them, just return them for new ones.

Just pull the spacer and add a 3/8" clevis lift, that should alleviate the problem.

Sales receipt, if not, they may have you in the store computer.
