Don't ask me why, but I have very few pictures of my Jeep in the snow. You'd think with as much snow as we've been getting in CO the past couple of years, I would have a few. I'll have to fix that next winter.

1971, I was 14 years old. My dad packed up himself, my mother, and 5 kids aged from 14 down to 2, into a 1970 Rambler Rebel station wagon towing a 5 sleeper pop-up trailer from just outside Chicago to Alaska and back in 5 weeks time. That was back when it was still gravel road from Ft. St. John to the Alaskan border. On the way to Fairbanks, we side-tripped to Dawson City to see the gold rush era town. Spent a couple of days in Fairbanks getting a new spring fabbed for the trailer. Drove to Anchorage, walked on Mendenhall Glacier. Drove back to Haines Junction (I think), loaded the car and trailer onto a traincar and rode that to Skagway? From there loaded the car on a ship that took us to Juneau through the inside passage, and then down to Prince Rupert B.C. From there drove down to Seattle, headed back east to Chicago after stopping in Salt Lake Cty UT. My Dad took lots of pictures of a once in a lifetime trip. He gave me the slides, I'll have to dig them out sometime. Hard to believe 36 years have passed since then.....

Drove 15 miles in virgin snow to work that morning about 10 days ago. The pictures are a bit deceiving. There was about 8 inches on the road. Was so much fun. Got a hankering to hit the snow again late that night but it was all plowed so I hit the yard for a couple pictures.

yes its good fun. A bit disapointed that the roads are too well cleaned though
We went after that for a walk on a frozen lake...about 15cm of ice, but i left the Libee on the solid ground
