I'm wondering if it's a default because the gap shouldn't be there...there's no explanation I can think of for it. I'm wondering if during assemply the machine is cutting it too short? Who knows...whenever I go back to the dealer I'll ask them. MyGIG keeps acting up. Sometimes when I start it up all the buttons on the screen are blank...then next time I start it up they appear. I remember my dealer saying there's a update because of this...but never got around to getting it done.

The MYGIG has an update out, 9.713, that can be downloaded form http://mofv.com/mygig/. Also on the site is an update for the Gracenote database (the DB that looks up songs to add the name to all tracks on the CD). Be sure to follow the directions if you are doing the update. I did it to mine and all went well, but after the update the volume goes down to 0, so you will have to turn it back up. Took me 20 mins to figure that out, thought I had broken it.

Not a problem. Don't be intimidated by the update, just don't turn the key off while updating, or else you will have to go back to the dealer to fix it. The MYGIG is awesome, I love it.

John, mine isn't cut too short, it just has a notch cut in the weather stripping in that area. I have no idea why it would be there, but both sides are the exact same. Maybe it's there for whatever tool or even a robot arm that they use to install the stripping.

I think I mentioned earlier that just before I got the low tire pressure warning, I had a check engine warning light. I stopped and check to make sure there were no leaks and checked the engine oil. By the time I got back to town and had the tire repaired, the Check Engine Light had cleared itself.

I had the dealer check the code for me. It was P0481 Cooling Fan 2 Control Circuit

The best I can tell the fault means:
An open or shorted condition detected in the high speed radiator fan relay control circuit.

The dealer insured me that the fan is working, he cleared the code and told me not to worry about it.

I wonder what caused all of that to happen? Maybe the KK didn't like being up at high altitude in the snow and on a dusty dirt road

Oh well, it seems to be working well. We had weather up to 90 degrees today and the A/C worked fine, so I'm sure the radiator fan was working too.

Hey Stratamet: Updated the MyGIG software to 9.713 but for some reason I can't update Gracenote. I unzipped it and burned it to a DVD (0.99 GB) and when I put the DVD in the player it just shows as DATA and won't load to the install page. I e-mailed the guy who does the site but just wondered if you had any suggestions stratamet?

Did you name the DVD exactly what the instructions say? When I did it, I got the reading DATA message as well, then after a few mins. it started the upgrade.

I named it exactly...I'm re-unzipping it and burning it...maybe it was a bad dvd. I'll try it again later tonight. Thanks...I'll let you know!

Hey guys, Love my KK. 6k, 2 oil changes, HDC used twice on VERY steep icy driveway, & getting ready to tow some landscaping boulders and mulch this weekend.

The notch in the weather strip allows the door to open without scrunching the rubber as the door nears full open.

Been reading the board for 5 months, and getting some great ideas!

Got to run, Jon

Hey Jon, welcome. I finally noticed the spot on the weather stripping today and yeah, good call on the explanation. If that notch wasn't there it would bunch up when the door is opened. It does look a little cheap, but I'm not sure of a better alternative.

I was told that early dodge ram p/us had the same problem... dodge ended up replacing the old one with a redesigned one

When I bought my TR KK the 1st thing I did was repalce the tires with my favs, I ran them on my '04 Libby, never a puncture or flat and great mileage and quiet. Then I upgraded to the Revos again.... Bridgestone Duelers AT REVO'S 245/75 16 on the factory Victory rims then I added the 2" Rubicon Express Spacer Suspension lift, not "BODY LIFT", big difference in the two. I gained an addtional 2" in suspension travel and the tires do not rub, I actually think I could have gotten away with 265's, so when my 245's ware out I'm going to the 265.
