So one of my roommates from the Marines called me yesterday. Said he was heading home to Ohio for a couple weeks, then off to Quantico. He asked if I wanted to come out to the Columbus area for a couple days. Hell yes! But I got a few Q'S...
1. Do I need an out of state OHV tag for Ohio, or will the MN one pass, If we go off roading?
2. Is there some decent places to go out there, that wont end up with me in handcuffs?
3. Thats about it... maybe more later.

depends where you go offroading, if its an illegal spot you will get a ticket or wraning no matter if you have ohio plates or not. i have been to plenty of constructions sites and have only been told to not come here anymore and they let me go lol

but even if it is a legal spot, it shouldnt matter if you have an ohio plate or not, at least not that i would think

not too much wheeling available in ohio... the only place i know of near columbus is painted rock. http://www.paintedrockohv.com/ohvpark.htm i dont know anything about it though, have not been there, and dont know anyone that has! i dont really think theres such thing as an OHV tag in ohio, since the only wheeling is private owned parks. we dont have any wheeling in any national forests or anything here except for some atv trails.

X2. No OHV tag here. It's private property: either someone you know or pay-to-play

Your options, as I see them, are to go over to Wellsville and play in the mud, go to PaintedRock and play in the mud, or go just into KY and get into some rocks. There are several guys on MuddyBuddys.net that can help you find a place to wheel in S. Ohio or KY. That's where I'd head for an answer...
