I ordered my Daystar lift from All J and Heather sent in the PO to Daystar to have them drop ship straight to me, figuring it would be quicker as I am in Maine, she is in California and Daystar is in between. Daystar not only got it wrong TWICE, but the third time wasn't a charm :!: The first kit was shipped to All J. Heather called em and they shipped out another kit. Again to Heather :?: She called em yet again and it arrived yesterday :P Headed into the garage to start installing it because the KJ has been apart since Monday waiting for the kit. The right strut was already disassembled so I started there. Come to find out Daystar shipped two "LEFT" upper strut brackets :!: So I called them up and spoke to tech support. First of all he was reluctant to believe me, but he came around and said he'd ship one Tuesday next day air and I will have it Wednesday. That will make nine days my KJ will have been laid up waiting for Daystar  While I am happy with all Heather from All J has done for me, I am not very impressed with Daystar. I'm sure in the end I will be pleased with the results, but right now my holiday weekend plans are shot :( Thank you Heather for all you tried to do from your end. Daystar needs to work on quality controls :!:
Has anyone else had any issues with Daystar or is this an isolated case???

I have the Daystar 2.5" lift and love it. I delt with www.jeeperzcreeperz.com and it only took 3 days from order to arrival.

Heather did the dropship from Daystar on mine and they got it right (I don't remember how long - it was before I was ready to install)

that was a while back so they may be training someone new.

Good Luck

Like I said before, I have no problems with All J or Heather. She feels really badly about the shipping issues and she doesn't even know about the strut mount problem. I work in the semiconductor industry and my job requires near 100% quality the first time. I understand that's allot to expect but... Last year I bought a Vance & Hines exhaust system for my motorcycle. Their package had two "left" hand mufflers and it took three weeks to get them to make it right. Daystar shipped me two "left" strut mounts... Maybe I just have a "left" issue :!: I'd make one he!! of a Nascar driver, go fast & turn "LEFT".... :D

Hi scottg, I'm located in Biddeford. The lift is really straight forward. I had the whole front end completly apart in about 3 hours last Monday. Last night I got the "LEFT" side all back together in under 2 hours and this afternoon the rear will be finished and I expect the right side to go back together in less than 1.5 hours, when I actually get the strut mount, with all my new experience :!:

I never trust anyone to send the right stuff and go ahead and tear anything down before I am sure the parts are there

If you can hear me laughing all the way from California, please don't be offended. I feel your pain. It's just funny because I went through something really similar with my ARB bullbar, which I bought from All-J's and ARB forgot to include the mounting system. Heather and All-J's were great. ARB ... not so much. ARB's warranty department "had some confusion" and shipped me nothing for a week and a half, then they sent the wrong part, actually a box of hardware that I already had, because they didn't know the proper name for the part and thought it was something else. When I called about that, I had to explain their own product to them. I gave them the exact name and part number and the guy told me I "need to be more specific." Had NO IDEA what a mounting system was, then tried to say we were the ones who were confused. At least you got expedited shipping, which ARB wouldn't do for me (heavier part and much more expensive to ship, of course, so I can't blame them for not overnighting it. But I do blame them for not having their act together, in a bigtime way.) ARB: great product, terrible customer service. Good luck with your situation. Sounds like it's gonna work out.

Well it took one and a half hours to install the rear coil spring spacers and shocks and remove the sway bar. I'll hang it in the garage for a while. Three corners done, right front to go. I was told by Daystar the upper strut mount will be here Wednesday and it will be finished in that evening. I guess the wife and I will spend Monday Geocaching and not testing out the KJ... :(
So far other than the strut mount all has gone quite well and my KJ really looks good from the drivers side :!: :D
I have 19" to the bottom of my rocker panels and the garage floor with my new Cooper 245/75R-16 ATR tires on. Wow what a difference!
I will post before and after pictures at a later date.
This board rocks and I just sent in my lifetime membership payment and application today.
I have allready gained more than the membership fee :!:

Final update:
Daystar followed thru on their word. They did ship the upper right strut plate on Tuesday, next day air and I received it yesterday. It only took 1.5 hours to finish the right strut assembly and install it completely. In the end I am pleased with the way my KJ came out. Time will tell how it and the tires affect my CRD's mileage. I did road test it and afterwards drove the right fron wheel up onto a 20" rock wall and all four wheels were still in contact with the ground. :D

Thanks to Heather from All J Products for her phone calls to Daystar and follow up.
