To me it depends on the color of the KJ and the color of the rims. I have the dark khaki color with black Soft 8's so I went with white letters out. Great contrast. But, that's me. Post a picture of your Jeep and maybe someone could photoshop it both ways.

OWL if its a street going KJ, but if it sees any trail action the white is going to get rubbed off anyway.

The only white letter tires I evr really liked were BFG MTs. When I was a kid I saw a BFG ad for them in a magazine. The truck was an old box bronco that was solid green and had the MTs with white letters. That is still one of my favorite looking trail rigs ever.

I'm with Jimmy Jeep. If you ever take your KJ of road, the chewed up white letters you will have afterwards look pretty crappy.

That was minutes after I had the TOYOs mounted (notice the blue) and if anybody was wondering about the Open Country A/Ts...pretty sweet tire and I'll either buy again or try the Cooper S/T. They look B-A! I think this next time around I'll put the black out though.

I think white lettering out is fine, like I said. A dark colored KJ & rims make it stand out.

Black out no question
if you do any good trail riding they will look like pooo
the white is really a solid white line around the tire with a black over lay of thin rubber
once you get through that rubber you will get a solid white line around the tire
and airing down and rubbing curbs all speed up the process

the while letters are for looks thus they do not serve a purpose and have no place on my Jeep
but do what you like
If I want white letters on my Jeep I will put stickers on
